Sparkle Poinsettia Tilda

Good morning everyone,

I hope you are having a lovely weekend so far. Do you know it is less than 6 weeks to Christmas now? I am so excited as I love it (I am like a big kid in a sweetie shop).  I dragged Phil to town yesterday to buy a new Christmas tree (imitation not real), before the shops get too crowded and all the decent ones go and I am really pleased with it, don''t worry I won;t be putting it up yet, just being organised.

Anyway, today we have a new colour challenge at the Ribbon Girl and very aptly the colour this month is 'RED'.

I have coloured up Tilda with Sparkly Poinsettia again, but this time a little differently to the one I posted on Friday. I have added some pleats to her dress, which although there is still room for improvement, I don't think they have turned out too bad.She has been coloured with Copics and  a few highlights have been added with Prisma pencils. The image has been framed with some Ivory Flat Back Bead String and tucked underneath is some lush red Zig Zag Cotton lace. The papers are once again from the new Maja collection, A Gift For you.  Peeping out at the top is a Noor Square Frame die, the leaves and Winter sentiment are also Noor dies. The ribbon is a lovely shade of red and is called Scarlett Berry Stain  No. 908. I removed the centres from the Poinsettias and replaced them with Tiny Red Berries and added a touch of Gesso.  I also  painted a tiny amount of Gesso onto the larger berries. The ivory lace is absolutely gorgeous, I have fallen in love with it. The links to products are at the bottom of this post, just click on a picture to be taken directly to the product.

  1. Oooo this is gorgeous too Gina. Love your colouring and the addition of the pleats. I always love how you add the tag at the foot of your easel cards. I would love to try this but feel this is your 'signature' so I have so far respected that. Would you mind I wonder? And a new Christmas Tree too! I like to be organised too. We had a smashing day in Durham yesterday. We don't put our decorations up early either. I hope your weekend is going well. Judy x
