Summer WeddingTilda

Hi everyone,

Phew, thank goodness it's Friday, this week has gone so slow, still it's the weekend hooray and I've only 4 more working days left and then I have two weeks off yippee!!

Thank you to everyone that left comments regarding the best printer to use to print digital images and colour with DIs. I am still no further on, I have been talking to Epson and it seems the Epson printers out now won't  take 300 gsm card, which is the thickness of paper I colour on, so I am looking for a second hand printer now.

I've had a bit of a nightmare crafting week. I was so tired on Monday after work, that I didn't have the energy to craft so I had a bit of catching up to do on Tuesday and I'm not he fastest crafter, then on Wednesday I was merrily colouring and feeling quite pleased with how it was turning out and would you believe it a big splodge of ink appeared, I have no idea where it came from but the whole image was ruined, I stayed calm and re-stamped the image 3 times and each time I stamped it part of the image was missing, I gave up in the end and went off to watch some T.V. so that was another wasted evening lol.

Anyway, today I am sharing a card I made for fun. She is called Summer Wedding Tilda and has been coloured with a mixture of distress ink re-inkers and markers.

Along the top and down the left hand side is a Noor Design Stars Edge die and I've painted a small amount of Dutch Doobadoo Structure paste around the edges. The two swirls on the right hand side are quite old Magnolia Doohickeys die. The little wooden heart button has been painted white with gesso. Tucked underneath the rose on the left hand side a Noor Design Vintage Leaf die. The flowers, pearl string, heart button, ivory flower string, ribbon and lace are all from the  Ribbon Girl.

DI list:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose
Hair: Walnut Stain, Antique Linen
Dress: Pumice Stone
Flowers: Aged Mahogany, Spun Sugar, Shabby Shutters
Shoes: Gathered Twigs

I hope you have a lovely weekend and are able to have some crafty time.

I'll be back on Sunday.

Thank you for popping in.

Take care.

Hugs
Gina xx

  2. Oh Gina! What a thing to happen! And I know just how you felt because a similar thing happened to me this week too! Just love this image though, and your card is fabulous! Would love to hear what you use to apply your structure paste with? The thingey I use is not really ideal. Happy weekend my friend! Judy x

  3. Hiya Gina, aaww we have all had days like that honey! It can only get better from here on, I have an Epson printer and managed to print an image on 300 gsm yesterday although I have to admit, that it took several tries of feeding it through to stop the printer from feeding it straight through and back out the other end - hope that makes sense! Anyhooo, I am loving this card and your noor stars around the design. I am not sure if you know this, but I love your colouring he he! Its so nice to make a card just for fun!!!Take care, Cuddles Jay xxx

  4. Gorgeous Gina and I've had a similar week so your not alone. If you refer to the introduction video in your kit and clowder distress ink class I show you how I print my digi's as the Fabriano paper is too thick for the printer and you'll see how I overcome that problem. Have a good weekend :)

  7. A beautiful card Gina, it's funny (or maybe not so strange really) how the cards we make for fun often come out the best of all. I feel your pain with the missing bits of stamped image, it can be difficult sometimes to get the detail when stamping on watercolour paper. I'm sure somebody has already suggested this, but have you tried printing onto plain printer paper first, than taping a smaller piece of watercolour paper over the image and printing again? This always works for me and goes through first time (with the added bonus of using less paper) :) xx
