What a Sweetheart

Hi everyone,

I hope you are all well and if you are in the U.K. are enjoying the Bank holiday weekend. Sorry I haven't been around for a while, but I have been taking a little break before I go back to work on Tuesday. The summer hols have passed by so quickly, I just don't know where the time has gone.

Anyway I thought I would pop in with a card I made for fun using a Little Darlings stamp which I have had for ages and not got round to using how bad is that? She is called 'What a Sweetheart' and I have coloured her using mainly distress reinkers.

The papers are by Joy. Peeping out at the top and overlapping the side is one of my favourite Noor Design dies called Circle die No. 2. The frame around the image, leaves and  butterfly die are also from Noor Design U.K.  The flowers, lace, pearl string and ribbon are from my stash. Links to the materials I have used where possible are at the bottom of this post, just click on a picture to be taken directly to the product.

DI list:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick
Hair: Walnut Stain, Antique Linen
Dress: Aged Mahogany, Spun Sugar
Eyes: Tumbled Glass
Shoes and Hat: Hickory Smoke

Also just to let you know that the Ribbon Girl are having a gorgeous pink giveaway on their Blog, to be in with a chance of winning all you have to do is leave them a comment.

A warm welcome to my new followers, thank you for taking the time to follow me.

Well that's it from me today, enjoy the rest of your Bank Holiday if you are in the U.K. and if not what is left of your weekend.

Take care.

Hugs

100th Challenge Anniversary - Marvelous Magnolia challenge - Insta Tilda

Hi everyone,

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.

Well I'm back from my holiday with my parents and what a lovely trip it was. I was totally spoilt and Mum and I had a good mooch around the craft shops and spent a few pennies (well quite a few), plus had some gorgeous lunches out. It came to an end far too soon, but I really did have a wonderful time so thank you Mum and Dad.

Today we have a new challenge at Marvelous Magnolia and this week its a special one as it is our 100th challenge anniversary.  The theme is an easy peasy 'Anything Goes'.

To celebrate both teams are giving away their cards, some will also include a small gift. This week the Dreamy team are posting theirs and the Romance team will post theirs next week, so if you would like to win my card and a surprise gift, there are  a couple of easy steps to follow:

You must be a follower of the Marvelous Magnolia Challenge blog and leave a comment.
You must be a follower of my blog (or any of my teamies if you would like to win one of their cards), just leave me a comment to say that you would like to win my card. (I will draw a winner once the challenge has ended and post it on my blog).

We also have some DT positions up for grabs, so if you would like to join this lovely team, you have two weeks to create a card (using a Magnolia stamp) and post it on the challenge blog, remembering to post it under the correct heading (Beginner, Intermediate or Expert) and don't forget the challenge is 'Anything Goes'.

On with my card, I've had a little play and made a stair step design. I coloured up Insta Tilda with  a combination of DI reinkers and markers. Most of the dies and the stamped film strip are from Noor Design, but the camera is a Magnolia Doohickey die.  The beautiful embellishments are from the Ribbon Girl. Links to the materials I have used are at the bottom of this post, just click on a picture to be taken directly to the product.

DI list:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick
Hair: Walnut Stain, Antique Linen
Top: Victorian Velvet
Trousers: Faded Jeans
Shoes: Gathered Twigs

To go along with our celebrations we are having a two week blog hop, here is a list of the very talented DT members from the Dreamy team, the Romance team will post theirs next week:

Plony
Beth
Tiziana

That's it from me today, don't forget if you would like to be in with a chance of winning my card and a surprise gift, then let me know by leaving me a comment.

New Colour Challenge at the Ribbon Girl - Puppy Love Tilda

Good morning everyone,

I hope you are having a  lovely weekend and the weather is being kind to you. I've scheduled today's post as this morning I am driving up to Lincolnshire to stay with my parents for the week, it's around a 41/2 - 5 hour drive for me, but I always have a lovely time, Mum and I trawl the craft shops including one of my favourites, the Hobby House.

Anyway enough waffling from me as we have a new colour challenge at the Ribbon Girl and our colour this time is 'Pink' (my favourite). I couldn't decide whether to make another Christmas card, and as I was looking through the shop, the new pine cone charms swung it for me, they are just adorable.

I have coloured up one of my Maggies called Puppy Love Tilda and coloured her with DI reinkers and markers. The papers are by Maja, which I've almost covered up lol and I've edged them with structure paste. All the dies are from Noor Design, they have been cut onto brown card, and I've sprinkled a mixture of  ivory and pink frantage over them. The sentiment is from LOTV.

Here is a close up of the lovely pine cone charms.

DI list:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick
Hair: Walnut Stain, Antique Linen
Dress and Boots: Gathered Twigs
Present: Aged Mahogany, Spun Sugar
Tights: Old Paper

The winner will receive two generous prizes:

to spend in their gorgeous online shop

and

a fabulous gift from Marianne Dies:

Well that's it from me today, have a wonderful week.

Take care.

Hi everyone,

I hope your weekend was nice and relaxing and the weather was kind to you. It was beautiful here in the South of the U.K.

Today we have a new challenge at Marvelous Magnolia and our theme this time round is a lovely easy peasy one 'Anything Goes'.

I made a tent card for a change and masked Afternoon Tea Tilda with the Afternoon Tea Bench and used DI reinkers to colour the scene. The beautiful vintage papers are by Dovecraft and are called Sweet Paris which have been distressed around the edges. The die cut leaves are from Noor Design and all the gorgeous embellishments are from the Ribbon Girl. Links to the materials I have used are at the bottom of this page, just click on a picture to be taken directly to the product.

DI list:
