Tilda in Rose Lace Dress - New challenge LHOSM

Hi everyone,

I hope you are enjoying your weekend, it's a dreary wet day here this morning so I think I will be spending the day tucked up in my craft room.

Today we have a new challenge at Lovely Hanglar or Sweet Magnolia and our challenge theme this time is 'use a sentiment'. We have some new teamies joining us today, so if you have a mo pop on over and leave them some love, their cards are beautiful.

I have coloured up Tilda with Rose Lace Dress and coloured her with DI re-inkers and markers and added a little white frantage around the outside of the image. The papers are a mixture of Pion and Maja and I've stitched around the outside, I love doing this when I have the time. Peeping out at the top is a Sizzix on the edge doily die which has had blue frantage sprinkled over the top. Sat just below it and to the left is a 8 point die by Noor Design which I've also covered with blue frantage. The banner die and sentiment are also by Noor Design.

The beautiful lace, blue rose, carnation and natural twine is from the Ribbon Girl.  Everything else is from my stash. The links to the materials I have used are at the bottom of this post, just click on a picture to be taken directly to the product.

DI list:

Flower Basket: Gathered Twigs, Dusty Concord

Our sponsor this time is the Ribbon Girl

Summer WeddingTilda

Hi everyone,

Phew, thank goodness it's Friday, this week has gone so slow, still it's the weekend hooray and I've only 4 more working days left and then I have two weeks off yippee!!

Thank you to everyone that left comments regarding the best printer to use to print digital images and colour with DIs. I am still no further on, I have been talking to Epson and it seems the Epson printers out now won't  take 300 gsm card, which is the thickness of paper I colour on, so I am looking for a second hand printer now.

I've had a bit of a nightmare crafting week. I was so tired on Monday after work, that I didn't have the energy to craft so I had a bit of catching up to do on Tuesday and I'm not he fastest crafter, then on Wednesday I was merrily colouring and feeling quite pleased with how it was turning out and would you believe it a big splodge of ink appeared, I have no idea where it came from but the whole image was ruined, I stayed calm and re-stamped the image 3 times and each time I stamped it part of the image was missing, I gave up in the end and went off to watch some T.V. so that was another wasted evening lol.

Anyway, today I am sharing a card I made for fun. She is called Summer Wedding Tilda and has been coloured with a mixture of distress ink re-inkers and markers.

Along the top and down the left hand side is a Noor Design Stars Edge die and I've painted a small amount of Dutch Doobadoo Structure paste around the edges. The two swirls on the right hand side are quite old Magnolia Doohickeys die. The little wooden heart button has been painted white with gesso. Tucked underneath the rose on the left hand side a Noor Design Vintage Leaf die. The flowers, pearl string, heart button, ivory flower string, ribbon and lace are all from the  Ribbon Girl.

DI list:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose
Hair: Walnut Stain, Antique Linen
Dress: Pumice Stone
Flowers: Aged Mahogany, Spun Sugar, Shabby Shutters
Shoes: Gathered Twigs

I hope you have a lovely weekend and are able to have some crafty time.

I'll be back on Sunday.

Thank you for popping in.

Take care.

Spring Bouquet Ellie

Good morning everyone,

I hope you week is off to a good start.

Today I am popping in with a GDT card for the Paper Nest Dolls.

I have coloured up Spring Bouquet Ellie and she can be found here. I have used Copics and added a few highlights with Prisma pencils. I am currently searching for a printer that has waterpoof ink and will take up to 300 gsm card, so I can colour digi stamps with DIs. If anyone can recommend one, I would really appreciate it if you could let me know.

Peeking out of the top is a Marianne heart die. The flowers are from my stash and I've popped in a tassle at the bottom. The hinge clip has been painted with Dutch Doobadoo Structure paste and the bingo sentiment is from a Joy set of stamps. The butterflies and tag are Noor Design dies.

The pretty Guipure lace is from the Ribbon Girl.

Copics list:
Skin: E11, 21, 00, 000, 0000, R20

Tilda Loves Flowers - new challenge Marvelous Magnolia

Hi everyone,

Did you all have a good weekend? I was still feeling lousy on Saturday, but as I write this post, I am feeling a bit better . The weather is beautiful, although the breeze still has a nip to it. It won't be long now and I will be starting the big tidy up of the garden.

We have a new challenge at Marvelous Magnolia today and it's a nice easy one 'Floral Frenzy' - use 5 flowers or more.

I wasn't feeling that well when I made this card, so I am not completely happy with it. I thought Tilda Loves Flowers fitted perfectly with the theme and I haven't coloured her up in a while. I coloured her using a mixture of distress re-inkers and markers. I've sprinkled a tiny amount of frantage around the image and finished it off with some beautiful pearl string. The papers are by Maja. The hearts peeping out at the top are a Noor Design die and I've painted the edges with Dutch Doobadoo structure paste. The leaves are also a Noor Design die. The lace, ribbon, pearl string and flowers are from the Ribbon GirlThe links to the products I have used are at the bottom of this post, just click on a picture to be taken directly to the product.
