New challenge at LHOSM - Tilda with Star Diadem

Hello my lovelies,

Happy Easter Sunday to you all, I hope you are enjoying your Easter break and some chocolate too. We are having a family get together with our sons today.

Today we have a brand new challenge at Lovely Hanglar or Sweet Magnolia and our theme is Pearls or Gems (we all love to embellish our cards don't we?).

I have coloured up the very sweet Tilda with Star Diadem using DI reinkers and  added some Star Dust stickles to her wings.

I've used my favourite Crealie XXL die 24 die (at the moment) to create the shape. The papers are by Maja and they have been distressed around the edges using a Tim Holtz paper distresser.

On the left hand side I have cut a joy butterfly edge die and placed it under the papers and added a few pearls along the bodies of the butterflies.

Just peeping out of the top is paper doily. The metal corner is actually bronze colour but I've painted it white using Gesso.

The lace, ribbon, pearls and flowers are from my stash and I've glued some pearl gems into the centre of the roses.

DI list:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick
Hair: Hickory Smoke, Black
Dress: Weathered Wood
Rose: Worn Lipstick, Spun Sugar, Forest Moss, Shabby Shutters

This time we are sponsored by Live and Love Crafts and you could win:

to spend in Sandy's lovely shop.

That's it from me today.

Thank you for popping in.

Take care.

Ribbon Girl Inspiration Post - Tilda with Spitz Pocket

Hi everyone,

Sorry, but I've been a bad blogger recently and it's been a just over a week since I last posted, but I am so busy at the moment and time has passed so quickly. One more day of school before the Easter break and then I'm off for two weeks yay!!

Anyway today I am sharing a card an inspiration card for the Ribbon Girl

This is Tilda with Spitz Pocket masked with Shabby Chic Fence and coloured with DI reinkers and I've added a little Star Dust Stickles to her socks.

For a change I decided to colour her in soft pastel colours, see below the picture for the colours list.

The shape has been cut from my new rectangle Crealies die, which I am so in love with.

The papers are by Lemoncraft from the House of Roses collection called Time Flies, the edges have been distressed using a Tim Holtz paper distresser.

On both sides of the card, I have punched out a border using a Martha Stewart punch in co-ordinating papers and fixed some pearl string along the edges.

Along the top again I have cut a Joy die again in co-ordinating papers. The frame placed over Tilda and the butterfly are also Joy dies. The swirl and ferns are Magnolia Doohickey dies.

The papers, lace, ribbon, pearls, flowers, stickles and diamante pearl embellishment are from the Ribbon Girl. Links to the materials I have used are at the bottom of this post, just click on a picture to be taken directly to the product.

DI list:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick
Hair: Walnut Stain, Antique Linen
Dress: Spun Sugar
Shoes and Fence: Hickory Smoke
Grass: Peeled Paint, Shabby Shutters

That's it from me today.

Free Spirit Tilda

Hi everyone,

I hope you are all well and had a lovely weekend although that seems a long time ago now. We have been having the most beautiful weather here in the south of the U.K, there hasn't been a cloud in the sky for the last few days, but it all changed today, it has been a very dull and overcast day.

Today I am showcasing a card I made recently using a Magnolia stamp 'Free Spirit Tilda. I have coloured her using DI reinkers.

The shape of the card is made using an XXL Crealies Double Stitch die, I am loving the rectangle shape at the moment.

The papers are by Maja from the Vintage Summer Basics paper pad and I have distressed them around the edges. The die on the left hand side is by Joy from Noor Design U.K. I have cut it twice, once in white card and secondly with the papers. Tilda is sitting on a die from a Marianne set of dies.

The beautiful flowers, lace, papers,  pearls and ribbon are from Ribbon Girl, links to the materials I have used are at the bottom of this post, just click on a picture to be taken directly to the product.
