New Challenge at Fussy and Fancy - Romantic Tilda with Parasol

Hi everyone,

Happy Friday, so we were blessed with some cooler weather for a couple of days this week, but the temperatures are rising again.

Today we have a new challenge beginning at Fussy and Fancy. Our lovely Beth is hosting our challenge for the next two weeks. She has chosen the theme:

Green and Pink.

I have coloured up another of my older Maggies, she is called 'Romantic Tilda with Parasol and I've coloured her with DI reinkers. I've added some Stardust Stickles to the parasol and socks.

I've cut the shape of the card with a Go Kreate XXL Flower Frame 1 die.

The papers are by Craft and You and are called Bellissima Rosa. I have inked the edges with a Victorian Velvet distress ink pad.

The flowers, ribbon, lace, diamante and pearl embellishment, pearl trim and pearl string are from the Ribbon Girl.

The doily has been cut from a Fantasy die, and the paper doily and the chipboard heart is from my stash.

DI list:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick
Hair: Walnut Stain, Antique Linen
Dress, Shoes and Hat: Victorian Velvet
Flowers: Aged Mahogany, Forest Moss, Shabby Shutters
Parasol: Bundled Sage, Shabby Sutters

The winner of the challenge will win a GDT spot for an upcoming challenge.

That's all from me today.

Have a lovely weekend.

New Challenge at Polkadoodles Crafting - Ruby Sweet

Good morning everyone,

Well here we are again it's Friday already, wow this week has flown by.

We have a new challenge at Polkadoodles Crafting today. The theme as always is 'Anything Goes', however the DT were asked to include a number on their designs.

I decided to go for a vintage theme. I chose to colour up another gorgeous Ruby, have you seen the new ones in the shop? (you can find them here, you can buy them as a bundle, pre-coloured or black and white and you can also buy them in singles, I LOVE them, so watch this space.

This little cutie is called 'Ruby Sweet' and I've coloured her with DI reinkers. Once she was printed I placed the largest of the Polkadoodles elegant nest dies over the top and cut with my die cutting machine.

I used an oval die to cut the shape of the card. The papers are from the Lil Miss Sugar Pops, Paper heaven 2 set. I've have used the yellowy coloured ones this time.

The rest of the die cuts  have been cut in brown card and I've added some vintage white frantage around the edges.

I made the vintage flower by cutting the largest and second largest dies from the flowers 2 set in brown card, I then embossed it with a polka dot embossing folder. To finish off I added some gold gilding wax and added some gold and ivory stamens to the centre.

I found the numbers in my stash, they started off as black, and you can see how they turned out once I embossed them and  added the gold gilding wax.

Where possible I have added the links to the materials I have used at the bottom of this post, just click on a picture to be taken directly to the product.

The ribbon, lace (bow) pearl and diamante embellishment, rose and beaded stamens are from the Ribbon Girl.

DI list:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick
Hair: Walnut Stain, Antique Linen
Dress: Gathered Twigs, Aged Mahogany, Victorian Velvet, Black Soot
Shoes: Victorian Velvet, Aged Mahogany

The winner will win a $10 gift voucher to the Polkadoodles download store and winners chosen by the top 3 will each a free digi stamp voucher.

That's all from me today.

Have a lovely weekend.

New Challenge at Creative Inspirations - Tilda Loves Balloon

Good morning everyone,

I hope you are all well. So the blistering heat goes on, I am not a fan, don't get me wrong, it is lovely to see the sunshine, but I struggle with the heat. It has turned really muggy here now too.

Anyway, today we have a new challenge at Creative Inspirations and the theme is ......

 'All Tied Up'
simply include a bow as your finishing touch.

That's a nice easy for me as I add bows to everything,  I can't make a card without one lol.

I have coloured up another older Maggie, yes I am still working my way through my old stamps. She is called Tilda with Balloon. I have coloured her with DI reinkers and added some Stardust stickles to her balloon and her socks.

The base of the card has been made using a rectangle die, the papers are from Maja and I've painted some white gesso around the edges.

The die peeping out from the left is a Marianne die which I have cut twice to give some dimension, once in card and the second time with coordinating paper.

The wispy bits poking out from underneath the flowers is called Silsa, a huge bag cost me £1 from The Works.

I have included links to the materials I have used (where possible) at the bottom of this post.

DI list:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Lace, Worn Lipstick
Hair: Walnut Stain, Antique Linen
Dress, Hair Band and Shoes: Victorian Velvet, Black Soot
Balloon: Shabby Shutters, Bundled Sage

There are TWO prizes up for grabs this month....

First prize:
Petal Lu - 30% discount from the store

Second prize:
Crafty Ribbons - a selection of these ribbons

That's all from me today.

Thank you for popping in.
