The Papernest Dolls - Miss Hollywood

Hi everyone,

Just popping in with a very quick post as I have a very busy day today.

This is a GDT card I made for the The Papernest Dolls and for a change it isn't a Christmas card lol. She is so pretty and goes by the name of Miss Hollywood.

I have coloured her using Copics and Prisma Pencils. The papers are by Maja. Peeking out at the top is a Marianne die. The beautiful lace that is mounted onto the paper behind the image is Church Window Guipure lace, and the stunning ribbon is a lilac faux silk. Behind the flowers are a couple of Magnolia dies, these are quite old so I'm not sure whether they are still available. Most of the flowers are from my stash. On top of the ribbon I've added some square flat back pearl trim. Where possible I have added links to the materials I have used at the bottom of this post, just click on a picture to be taken directly to the product.

Copics list:
Skin: E11, 21, 00, 000, 0000, R21
Hair: E49, 57, 55, 53, 50
Dress: BV29, 25, 23, 20

Thank you so much for popping in and for all of your lovey comments, I really appreciate them.

Have a lovely weekend.

Bestie Christmas card

Good morning everyone,

Happy Friday to you! I hope you are all well and have had  a good week. It has turned much colder here this week and I have even had to scrape the frost off the car a couple of  mornings, but I am sorry to admit I like the winter (don't all shout at me).

Anyway this morning I am showcasing my GDT card for the Besties challenge - distressing.

This image is totally gorgeous and I really enjoyed colouring her with my Copics and Prisma pencils. I added the pleats in myself, there is still room for improvement, but overall I don't  think they turned out too bad. I have used oodles of Glamour dust to represent the fur. The icicles which have had Diamond Dust sprinkled over them are a Noor design die and the sweet little candy canes are a La La Land die. The cinnamon sticks are from Live and Love Crafts and the flowers and fir cones are from my stash. The lace, ribbon and twine are from the Ribbon Girl . Links to the materials I used are at the bottom of this post, just click on a picture to be taken directly to the product.

Noor Design DT call

Hi everyone,

It's nearly the weekend - yay, I can't wait. Just to warn you that this is quite a long post, so apologies in advance.

As you may have noticed I have been using a lot of the Noor Design products on my cards recently and I have decided to enter the Noor Design DT call, this is the first time I have entered a DT call and I am feeling a little bit nervous about it, but I couldn't let this great opportunity pass me by without giving it a go. So here goes with a little bit about myself:

I am married to Phil and I am so lucky that he fully supports and encourages me with my crafting. I work full time in a local secondary school and have quite a stressful job. My mum introduced to me to crafting about 8 years ago and I have never looked back. I started with decoupage and moved into stamping around 4 years later and it has now become my passion. I have two lovely  grown up sons, my eldest works in the IT industry and my youngest is a Captain in the British Army. I am on four lovely Design Teams and Guest Design for two.

As you know or may have guessed lol, I love Noor Design products. Over the years I have managed to get my hands on a few of the dies and stamps, some I have been able to buy in the U.K, but quite often I have had to buy outside of the U.K. however, this has now changed since Tracy opened her UK  online shop. The service is second to none and the dies cut so beautifully first time round and the stamps give a good clear and crisp image and are really versatile. Being part of the Design Team would not only challenge me, which I like...but I'd have a fabulous excuse to use my favourite dies, stamps and papers even more.

As well as having a blog, I also have a flickr account, website, FB account,  Pinterest and twitter account (although I haven't used this in a while).

So here goes with my card:

The image is a Magnolia stamp, Sweet Christmas Tilda which I have masked with Winter Bench. I have coloured the scene using Copics and Prisma pencils and used Shabby Blue Frantage for the falling snow and Glamour Dust for the lying snow and finished it off with a frame using pearl bead string.  The lace and seam binding are from the Ribbon Girl. The flowers and fir cones are from my stash
.

The shape of the card was made using a Dutch Doobadoo Shape Art Frame, Frames Ornament Bloom, I don't think Tracy has this design in her shop, but if you contact her she may be able to get it for you and the papers are from the Noor Design Winter Wonderland paper pad.

The deer have been painted with Americana Decor Chalky Paint and I've painted some Distress Crackle paint over the top and added a little gesso.

I have cut the Billies Flourishes Branch 1 and sprinkled Shabby Blue Frantage over it, I can't see this die in Tracy's shop, but I am sure that if you contact her she will try to get it for you.

I also made another card, but I wasn't entirely happy with it, but thought I would show it anyway.

Billies Flourishes Branch 1

Musical Notes die and Flourishes Birds die.

Once again apologies for it being such a long post.

Links to the materials I have used on both cards are at the bottom of this post, just click on a picture to be taken directly to the product.

Thank you so much for popping in and taking the time to look.

Take care.

Puppy Love Tilda

Hi everyone,

I hope you are having a lovely weekend. Phil and I have are trying to be organised and have been out Christmas shopping this morning. It's pouring down with rain today and really dark and dreary so I will be spending the afternoon in my craft room (perfect)!

We have a new challenge at Lovely Hanglar or Sweet Magnolia today. We have an easy peasy theme and that is 'Use a Die Cut'.

I stamped 'Puppy Love Tilda' onto a Noor Design oval die and coloured her using Copics and Prisma pencils. Around the ouside of the image I've sprinkled some frantage and used Glamour Dust for the lying snow. The papers are by Heartfelt Creations Frosty Blanket collection. Peeking out from the top is a Noor Design Circle die. Tucked behind the image I've stamped up a Noor Design stamp (English Christmas Postcard) with aged mahogany distress ink and added some frantage around the outside and pom pom trim along the top edge. The two sweet reindeers are also a Noor
Design Die, I've been waiting to get my mits on this die for ages and I was so happy when they arrived through the post box this week. I cut the dies and painted them with American Decor Chalky Finish paint and added a few dots and touches with Gesso. The flowers are a mixture from my stash and the Ribbon Girl. The lace, silver jingle bells and pom pom trim are also from the Ribbon Girl.

Copics list:
