New Challenge at Creative Inspirations

Hi everyone,

I hope you are all well. My trip to the NEC was quite a disappointment., there didn't seem to be that many craft stalls, certainly compared to what it was like a few years ago.

Anyway today we begin a new challenge at Creative Inspirations and the theme is......

November Chill
This month we want to see creations with a chilly theme. Whether it is creating creations with a wintry theme, snow sports, hats and scarves or a cool colour theme, the choice is yours.

I have coloured up one of the new Christmas stamps from Dreamerland Crafts called 'When I have You Around Me' and used one of their new sentiments stamps along the top and bottom of the image. I have used DI reinkers to colour the scene. I think they both look cosy in red and green.

The papers are from The Hobby House.

The lace, ribbon, pearl string, diamante embellishment, fir cones, and most of the flowers and leaves are from the Ribbon Girl.

The snowflake is a Marianne die. I covered the snowflake in glue and sprinkled on some Twinklets which gives a lovely icy effect.

DI list:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick
Hair: Walnut Stain, Antique Linen
Red: Barn Door, Aged Mahogany, Black Soot
Green: Forest Moss, Shabby Shutters
Boots: Gathered Twigs, Black Soot
Bench: Pumice Stone, Black Soot

We have TWO prizes up for grabs:

First prize:

Is from Petal Lu and the prize is a 30% discount from the store.

New Challenge at Fussy and Fancy - 'Giving Thanks'

Good morning everyone,

Happy Friday, I hope you have all had a good week. I have a day off work today as I am off to the Craft Show at the NEC today, I am so excited:)

We have a new challenge at Fussy and Fancy today. Our lovely Darlene is hosting this challenge and she has chosen the theme .....

Giving Thanks

I have coloured up a Stempelglede stamp which is part of a set called 'Vintage Garden' with distress reinkers. I just love the colours of this bird, they are totally made up, but wouldn't it be wonderful to see a bird with these colours.

The butterflies and flower edge die have been cut with Joy Crafts dies.

The cheesecloth and lace are from the Ribbon Girl.

I am so sorry but I totally forgot to make a note of the colours I used.

The winner of the challenge will win a GDT spot for an upcoming challenge.

That's all from me today.

Have a lovely weekend.

Thank you for popping in.

New Challenge at the Ribbon Girl

Morning everyone,

As it is the first of the month a new 'Anything Goes' challenge begins at the Ribbon Girl today.

For this challenge I have coloured up a Polkadoodles image from the Winnie White Christmas collection called 'Winnie and Penguin'. I have coloured her with distress reinkers. To create the white dots on her skirt, I dotted on some pebeo drawing gum and left it to dry before beginning to colour, once I have finished colouring the gum just rubs off.

The papers are are also from the Winnie White Christmas collection and Winnie Sugar Sprinkles Paper Heaven 2.

Tucked underneath the paper is some corrugated card which I have sprinkled with frantage.

The snowflake and star have also been sprinkled with frantage.

The poinsettia, jingle bells, pearl gems, lace, pearl string, hessian and chevron ribbon, tassel, pearl trim and diamante snowflake are all from the Ribbon Girl. Links to the materials I have used are at the bottom of this post, just click on  a picture to be taken directly to the product.
