New Challenge at Polkadoodles Crafting - Ruby Sweet

Good morning everyone,

Well here we are again it's Friday already, wow this week has flown by.

We have a new challenge at Polkadoodles Crafting today. The theme as always is 'Anything Goes', however the DT were asked to include a number on their designs.

I decided to go for a vintage theme. I chose to colour up another gorgeous Ruby, have you seen the new ones in the shop? (you can find them here, you can buy them as a bundle, pre-coloured or black and white and you can also buy them in singles, I LOVE them, so watch this space.

This little cutie is called 'Ruby Sweet' and I've coloured her with DI reinkers. Once she was printed I placed the largest of the Polkadoodles elegant nest dies over the top and cut with my die cutting machine.

I used an oval die to cut the shape of the card. The papers are from the Lil Miss Sugar Pops, Paper heaven 2 set. I've have used the yellowy coloured ones this time.

The rest of the die cuts  have been cut in brown card and I've added some vintage white frantage around the edges.

I made the vintage flower by cutting the largest and second largest dies from the flowers 2 set in brown card, I then embossed it with a polka dot embossing folder. To finish off I added some gold gilding wax and added some gold and ivory stamens to the centre.

I found the numbers in my stash, they started off as black, and you can see how they turned out once I embossed them and  added the gold gilding wax.

Where possible I have added the links to the materials I have used at the bottom of this post, just click on a picture to be taken directly to the product.

The ribbon, lace (bow) pearl and diamante embellishment, rose and beaded stamens are from the Ribbon Girl.

DI list:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick
Hair: Walnut Stain, Antique Linen
Dress: Gathered Twigs, Aged Mahogany, Victorian Velvet, Black Soot
Shoes: Victorian Velvet, Aged Mahogany

The winner will win a $10 gift voucher to the Polkadoodles download store and winners chosen by the top 3 will each a free digi stamp voucher.

New Challenge at Creative Inspirations - Tilda Loves Balloon

Good morning everyone,

I hope you are all well. So the blistering heat goes on, I am not a fan, don't get me wrong, it is lovely to see the sunshine, but I struggle with the heat. It has turned really muggy here now too.

Anyway, today we have a new challenge at Creative Inspirations and the theme is ......

 'All Tied Up'
simply include a bow as your finishing touch.

That's a nice easy for me as I add bows to everything,  I can't make a card without one lol.

I have coloured up another older Maggie, yes I am still working my way through my old stamps. She is called Tilda with Balloon. I have coloured her with DI reinkers and added some Stardust stickles to her balloon and her socks.

The base of the card has been made using a rectangle die, the papers are from Maja and I've painted some white gesso around the edges.

The die peeping out from the left is a Marianne die which I have cut twice to give some dimension, once in card and the second time with coordinating paper.

The wispy bits poking out from underneath the flowers is called Silsa, a huge bag cost me £1 from The Works.

I have included links to the materials I have used (where possible) at the bottom of this post.

DI list:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Lace, Worn Lipstick
Hair: Walnut Stain, Antique Linen
Dress, Hair Band and Shoes: Victorian Velvet, Black Soot
Balloon: Shabby Shutters, Bundled Sage

There are TWO prizes up for grabs this month....

First prize:
Petal Lu - 30% discount from the store
