Good morning everyone,

Happy Friday to you all, well that's week one done and dusted. I hope you all had a good week.

This morning begins a new challenge at Fussy and Fancy.. Our lovely Beth is hosting this challenge and has  chosen the theme:

Favourite Colours

Well I knew I wanted to use pink, but pink/ brown, pink/grey, pink/green pink and white anything pink lol.

This stamp (along with another) has come all the way from the  Slovenia. I couldn't find it in the U.K., and the service I received was brilliant - thank you Tina.

All the flowers, lace, ribbon, guipure applique heart, pearl trim and ribbon are from the Ribbon Girl (links are at the bottom of this post, just click on a picture to be taken directly to the product). It doesn't show up in the pic, but I've added some stardust stickles to the crowns on Tilda and the swans. The ribbon is 100% silk and a real dream to make into a bow.

Divine Tilda

Morning everyone,

I hope you had a lovely weekend. The weather wasn't too bad at least it stayed dry.

Well its's back to work today, but I had a really fabulous week off and my batteries are recharged.

This morning I am sharing a card I made for fun. It is about time I made something that isn't pink lol.

This is an older maggie called Divine Tilda, she is such a pleasure to colour. As always I have coloured her with DI reinkers.

The papers are from the new Maja 'Celebration' collection.

The die cut peeping out at the top has been cut from a Joy Crafts die, although you probably already know that as I use it so often haha.

The post card is a stamp which I have stamped onto coordinating blue paper in a light grey ink and I've added some white pom pom trim along the top edge.

The frame that the image is sitting on is also a Joy Crafts die.

The gorgeous blue ribbon, flowers, pom pom trim, pearl trim and lace are from the Ribbon Girl

DI list:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Lace, Worn Lipstick
Hair: Antique Linen, Walnut Stain
Dress and Bow: Weathered Wood, Black Soot
Boots: Hickory Smoke, Black Soot

Well that's all from me today.

Thank you for popping in.

My Perfect Buddy

Good morning everyone,

I hope you are having a good week. I am so enjoying mine although I haven't crafted as much as I had planned. I have been out on my bike and for walks almost everyday. Today I am taking my friend to the Art of Craft shop in Farnborough, as the 'Make It' show that we normally attend isn't on this year. We plan to have a crafty spend followed by a girly lunch out.

I am sharing a card that I made using A Dreamerland Crafts stamp. OMG, I am so in love with this stamp. This little cutie is called 'My Perfect Buddy'. I have coloured it with a mixture of distress reinkers and watercolour paints.

The scene of mountains and the little fence I drew myself.

The shape of the card has been made with a Crealies circle die.

The papers are by Maja and I've edged them with white gesso.

Peeping out at the top is Marianne die.

The daisy flower, pearl trim and flat lace are from the  Ribbon Girl. They haven't got any of the 15 cm Lilac Organza ribbon, however, they do have it in 23 and 38mm.

Di list:
Girl:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick
Hair: Walnut Stain, Antique Linen
Hat, Mittens and Scarf: Hickory Smoke, Black Soot
Coat and Boots:Weathered Wood, Black Soot
Bear:

Tilda with Flowers in her Pocket

Hi everyone,

Well the first day of my holiday was a good one.  I awoke to a sunny, but frosty morning, so there wasn't anything for it, but to wrap up and go for a long walk. We have a lovely park very close to us and if you are lucky you may spot some deer roaming, unfortunately I didn't spot any. That was followed by catching up on some chores and I decided to give my filthy car a good clean.  By then it was lunchtime so after lunch I went for a bike ride to make the most of the lovely sunshine. We have rain forecast all day today so I will be spending it  tucked up in my craft room.

I thought I would share a card I made last week just for fun. This little sweetie is called 'Tilda with Flower in her Pocket'. I have coloured her with DI reinkers and added some sparkle to her socks and along the bottom of her dress with some Stardust stickles .

The shape of the card has been cut with a hexagonal die and I've machine stitched around the edges. The papers are by Maja, but I forgot to make a note of their name.

Most of the dies are by Joy Crafts, but the tassels have been cut from a Marianne die.

I've also placed some cheesecloth underneath the image.

Some of the flowers, pearl string, cheesecloth and Stardust stickles are from  the Ribbon Girl. The pearl and diamante embellishment in the centre of the bow is from my own stash, but you can buy similar ones at the Ribbon Girl (I have put a link at the bottom of this post, just click on the picture to be taken directly to the product).

DI list:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick
Hair: Walnut Stain, Antique Linen
Dress: Gathered Twigs,
T-Shirt: Pumice Stone
Shoes: Gathered, Twigs, Black Soot
Flowers: Victorian Velvet, Forest Moss, Shabby Shutters
Bows: Victorian Velvet

Well that's all from me today.

Enjoy your day whatever you are doing.

Thank you for popping in.

Hi everyone,

Happy Friday to you all, its a very happy Friday for me as I break up for half term today:)

I hope you have all had a good week and stayed warm, it certainly has been a cold one.

I am popping in today to share a different style of card I made!!

The shape of the card has been cut with a Hunkydory Moonstone collection scalloped and straight edge set of dies and I've used some of the beautiful new papers from Maja from the new 'Celebration'collection.

The die cut peeping out from the right hand side is by Joy Crafts.

I have die cut the masquerade Magnolia Doohickeys mask in ivory card and  covered it with Stardust  stickles.

Some of the flowers, guipure lace and the pearl string are from the Ribbon Girl.

DI List:
Skin:Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick
Hair: Walnut Stain, Antique Linen, Black Soot
Dress: Victorian Velvet, Black Soot
Boots: Victorian Velvet, Hickory Smoke

Below is the inside of the card.

The tag is removable and I have stamped it around the edges with a Stempelglede stamp from the Vintage Gardens set. The pocket has been embossed with a 3D embossing folder (Country Garden) by Crafters Companion and finished of with some pearl trim and a punched edge in ivory card.

On the right hand side I added some lace (Ribbon Girl), die cut corners, another masquerade mask and a pearl heart.

That's all from me today.

A Male Card - for My Hubby

Hi everyone,

I thought I would pop in to show you something a little different for me. Yes its a dreaded male card, no flowers, no lace, no ribbon eek!

My hubby's birthday was last week and I had  a play with Brushos. I bought them after seeing several demos at the NEC in November and I've only just got around to playing with them. My first few attempts did go in the bin mind and I still need a lot of practice.

I created the painting with the help of a DVD, so I can't take all the credit.

I drew the owl myself, its not perfect but not too bad for my first attempt. I have also used some Watercolour Ground and masking fluid. The masking fluid enables you to leave white areas and the Watercolour ground gives some texture.

 I hope you like it.

Thank you for popping in.

New Challenge at Marvelous Magnolia - Tilda with Spring Heart

Hi everyone,

I hope you are all well!

Today I am sharing a card for the first challenge of this year at Marvelous Magnolia. Our theme is the ever popular:

Anything Goes

As Valentines day is fast approaching I thought I would make something to fit the theme.

This little cutie is called 'Tilda with Spring Heart' and I have coloured her with DI reinkers.

The shape of the easel card has been cut from a Presscut rectangle with notched corners die and the papers are by Maja. I have added some white gesso to the edges of the papers.

The heart border die along the left hand edge is a Joy Crafts die, it is quite an old one, but I think it can still be found on Ebay. I have cut the brown heart with a Marianne die, the heart banner with a Lala land die and the swirl from Magnolia Doohickeys die.

I've placed a pearl and diamante heart on top of a silver birch bark heart.

The flowers, beaded berries and gathered lace are from my own crafty stash, but the flat lace and pearl string is from the Ribbon Girl.

DI list:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick
Hair: Walnut Stain, Antique Linen
Dress, Bows and Shoes: Gathered Twigs
Heart: Barn Door, Aged Mahogany

That's all from me today.

Thank you for popping in.
