New Challenge at Creative Inspirations - Festive Foliage

 Good morning everyone,

I hope you are well and keeping warm on this very cold morning.

Today I am posting my last card for this year for Creative Inspirations. Our theme for December is..........

Festive Foliage
This month it's all about the festive season and we'd like to see some foliage on your creations ... so think of Wreaths, Holly, Poinsettia's, Christmas Tree's etc.

This month I decided to add a wreath in non tradional colours to my card. I cut out lots of evergreen branches from a Creative Expressions die set, they are just perfect to create a wreath. I also added some die cut mistletoe and berries from a Anna Marie die set. To finish it off I added some white berries and fir cones and a silver bow.

The image is by Magnolia and called Lace Hood Tilda. I have painted her with distress reinkers.

New Challenge at Creative Inspirations

Good morning everyone,

 I hope you are all well.

Today we begin a new challenge at Creative Inspirations and our theme for this month is...........

Sparkle, Sparkle, Sparkle

Well there is oodles of sparkle on this card, but the pic doesn't show it too well.

The Paper Shelter are sponsoring us this month and they very kindly gave us an image to play with called Santa on a Sled.

I have used distress reinkers to colour the image. The lying snow is glamour dust and for the falling snow I have sprinkled on some WOW embossing powder which has been heat set using a heat gun.

I had a little spend recently and bought some of these gorgeous papers from Anna Marie crafts. The berry die is also from Anna Marie crafts. I have placed some glue on the berries and sprinkled on some ice crystals.  I also bought some Viva Ceramic effect which I have fallen in love with and have been putting it on everything:)  

The poinsettia is cut from a John Next Door die, I have rubbed in some of the ceramic effect and sprinkled some ice crystals over the top. 

This is the insert which slides into the top of the card. I have embossed some silver/grey card and added some vivo ceramics effect around the edges.

New Challenge at Creative Inspirations

Happy Wednesday, I hope you are all well.

Today is the start of this month's challenge at Creative Inspirations and our theme for this 

month is.............

Autumn or Halloween

I chose to go with the autumn theme and have coloured up another stamp from Dreamerlands Crafts called 'Walk With Me Hand in Hand'. I thought it was the perfect image with the leaves falling around them.

I have coloured the scene with distress reinkers.

I opted to make a slightly different style of card for this challenge, which I quite enjoyed.

The papers are from Anna Marie Designs called Blissful Green. 

This month's prize is from Crafty Ribbons and they are giving away a selection of autumnal toned ribbons.

Spots or Stripes

I have coloured up a cute stamp called 'Big Shoes to Fill' from Dreamerlander Crafts. She has been coloured with distress reinkers. To create the spots on her dress, I  used some pebeo drawing gum and left it to dry before starting to paint.

New 'Anything Goes' Challenge Creative Inspirations

 Good morning everyone,

I hope you are all enjoying the sunshine if you are in the U.K., although I feel we could do with some rain now to top up our resevoirs, rivers and water our garden plants. It would also be nice to see some green grass again!

New Anything Goes Challenge at Ally's Angels

Hi everyone,

I hope you are well and enjoying the warm weather in the U.K. at the moment. 

We have a new challenge at Ally's Angels this evening and as always the theme is........

Anything Goes

I have just made a start on my Christmas cards, even though the sun is shining brightly:) This sweet stamp is a real oldie. The stamp is made by Flower Soft from the Moments in Time collection  and is called Let it Snow.

I have used distress reinkers to colour the scene, I really love the cold hues of blue and grey together.

Around the outside of the image I have sprinkled some shabby white frantage to give the effect of falling snow.

The papers are from my stash and I have painted some white gesso around the edges just because I love the look of it on winter cards.

Again the dies I have used are very old ones which are a mixture of magnolia and joy craft dies. 

The distress inks I have used are: Hickory smoke, weathered wood and black soot.

New Anything Goes Challenge at Ally's Angels

 Hi everyone,

I hope you are all well.

We have a new Anything Goes challenge beginning at Ally's Angels this evening.

This card was created for my son and his new wife who were married last weekend.  The gorgeous stamp is by Dreamerland Crafts and the papers are by Maja.

For the heart which is peeping out of the top of the image, I cut a heart die then covered it in lace.

The tags that are attached to the flowers are from a LOTV set of stamps which have been heat embossed with silver embossing powder.

The lace, flowers, heart charms, pearls, ribbon and heart embellishment are from my own crafty stash.

For the sentiment I cut a heart shaped die, stamped the sentiment with a clear ink pad, sprinkled on some silver embossing powder and heat set it. 

Tha card stand was cut from a Joy Crafts die.

I'm back to share to my card for the new 'Anything Goes' challenge at Ally's Angels.

This month I have made a criss cross card, you might have guessed it, but I love making this design:).

I chose to colour up a whimsy stamp called 'Dolly' for this card and coloured her with distress reinkers.

The gorgeous papers are by Maja, I've had these in my stash for quite a while, but didn't want to use them.

The card stand was cut from a Joy Crafts die and the tiny tags are from a set of stamps by LOTV.

The pearls, lace, pearl trim, flowers and ribbon are from my crafty stash.

New 'Anything Goes' Challenge at Ally's Angels

I hope you have had a lovely crafty weekend. Our house renovations are now coming to an end, thank goodness and then it will be time to start on the garden:)

This month I have made a criss cross card. I haven't got many animal images so I have coloured up an old Maggie called Tilda with Hanging Rabbit. I stamped Tilda onto a spellbinders die cut before colouring her with distress reinkers.

As Valentine's day is just around the corner, I chose to share a little love. I have coloured up an older maggie for this challenge called 'Tilda with Spring Heart'. I have coloued her with distress reinkers.

The shape of the card was cut using a Go Create set of dies (sadly, I don't think Go Kreate are around anymore).The bold red heart has been cut from a Lala Land die, this is my favourite heart die that I have. 

The two cute tags are from a Lily of the Valley set of stamps, I heat embossed them with red embossing powder.

New Anything Goes Challenge at Ally's Angels

 Hi everyone,

I hope you had a wonderful weekend. I have actually managed to do a little crafting for a change. It is my husband's birthday at the end of the this month so I am working on a card for him. Male cards are definitely not my thing!

 This evening we are kicking off the first challenge of the year at Ally's Angels and as always it is

For this challenge I coloured up a sweet maggie from the Spellbound kit.

With making Christmas cards for the past few months, I have missed colouring in pink so it was a good excuse to use to get the pink distress inks out again.

First challenge for Creative Inspirations of the Year

Good morning,

I hope you all had a good Christmas and Happy New Year. Let's hope it is a healthy and safe one for us all!

The first challenge of the new year for Creative Inspirations is a nice simple one. The theme for this month is .....

Anything Goes

The Paper Shelter are sponsoring us this month and they have very kindly provided the DT with a gorgeous floral design called In Bloom. I must admit Idid struggle with this one as it not my usual style of image.

I have used distress reinkers to colour the flowers.

I cut the shape of the card with a square die and made a frame using the same set of dies. To give the frame some dimension I fixed some foam tape on the back and added some pearl trim around the oustide of the frame.

The butterflies were cut from a joy crafts die.

The flowers are from my own craft stash.
