Golden Week Tilda

Hi everyone,

I am back after an amazing few days in Wales. The weather was very kind to us apart from the last day and I had the most fantastic time. Thank you to my wonderful hubby Phil, for making my birthday even more special. I have popped a couple of pics at the end of the post.  I was also very spoilt as I received some lovely crafting gifts from my family and from a special crafty friend Judy (thank you).

I thought I would just share a card I made before I went away using Golden Week Tilda which I've coloured with Distress Inks. Peeping out from the top is a paper doily. The butterfly is made from a silicone mould and air dry clay. The swirl is a Magnolia Doohickey die and the film strip is by Noor Design. The flowers, charm, ribbon, star space embellishment and lace is from my stash.

New Challenge at LHOSM - Tilda with Knee Socks

Hi everyone,

I hope you are enjoying your weekend, and if you are in the U.K. enjoy your extended weekend. We have been making the most of the mild weather this weekend and been pottering in the garden, it looks all neat and tidy again. We both have the week off and on Thursday I will be celebrating my birthday so Phil and I are going to have a couple of days away in Porthcawl South Wales.

Anyway on with the task in hand as we have a new challenge today at Lovely Hanglar or Sweet Magnolia and our challenge this time is 'buttons or bows', I decided to use both.

I have stamped up one of the new Tildas from the latest Sakura collection. This little sweetie is called 'Tilda' with Knee Socks'. She has been coloured with a mixture of distress ink markers and reinkers. The shape has been cut using a Go Kreate die. At the top of the card I've used a  Sizzix die, Torn Notebook and I've added a tiny bit of Dutch Doobadoo Structuer paste to the edges and some ivory pearl daisy trim along the centre. The bow is made from Pink Silky Crush ribbon and I've added a button and some natural twine. I've made a bow on the right using natural twine and added a silver heart charm and pearl gem.

The pretty heart swirl has been cut from a Magnolia Doohickey die. The flowers, lace and butterfly are from my stash.

DI list:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Aged Mahogany

I hope you have had a lovely week, This is my last day before breaking up for half term and I have a whole week off yay, wow hasn't that come around quickly!!

The papers are by Pion and they have been edged with  Dutch Doobadoo Structure paste. The ivory lace with pearl trim is unfortunately out of stock at the Ribbon Girl, but I am sure it will be back in stock soon. The flowers are from my stash. The gorgeous tulle is also from the Ribbon Girl, but no longer in stock, however there is an alternative, which I've posted at the bottom of the page, just click on the picture to be taken directly to the product. The butterfly is a Noor Design die.

New Challenge Marvelous Magnolia - Summer Loving Tilda

Hi everyone,

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend, and managed to spend some time crafting.

We have a new challenge at Marvelous Magnolia today and the theme is one of my favourites 'Pearls and Lace'.

Continuing with the theme of easel cards, I have coloured up Summer Wedding Tilda, masked her with Spring Fence and added some pink pearls around the outside, tucked underneath is some cheesecloth. The butterflies are a Noor Design die and have had some pearl string added to the centre. The bow is made from Pink Seam Bending and I've layered a lace bow on top and added a sparkle embellishment in the centre. I've also removed the centre of the daisy and replaced it with a sparkle embellishment.

On the left of the card is a little bark heart embellishment. The tag on the base of the card is a Noor Design die. All the embellishments are from the Ribbon Girl. The list of materials used to make this card are at the bottom of this post, just click on a picture to be taken directly to the product.

New Colour Challenge at the Ribbon girl - Whimsy Iris

Good morning everyone,

I hope you are enjoying your weekend. I have one more week left and then we break up  for half term, wow I can't believe how quickly the time has gone!

This morning we have a new colour challenge at the Ribbon Girl and the colour this month is Aqua.

I have coloured up a Whimsy stamp called Iris and edged it with Ivory Pearl String. She is coloured with Distress Ink Markers and Reinkers. The papers are from LOTV and are called 'Beach Bliss'. Tucked underneath the image is some cheesecloth  and just peeping out from the top is a new Noor Design Viewmaster die.  The banner and text stamp are also from Noor Design.

The tag is also by Noor Design UK and to the right of it are some sweet Aqua Vintage Blooms .

I've given her wings some extra dimension by decoupaging them and added some stickles for a bit of sparkle.

All the flowers and beautiful Ivory Lace leaves are from Ribbon Girl, tucked underneath them is a Noor Design Leaf Swirl die.

The lace is so pretty and the ribbon is really soft and easy to form a bow with, in the centre I've placed a Diamante Spacer and Aqua Blue gem.

DI list:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose
Hair: Walnut Stain, Antique Linen
Dress, Wings and Trousers:  Peacock Feathers, Gathered Twigs
Flowers: Worn Lipstick, Spun Sugar
