New challenge at Fussy and Fancy

Hi everyone,

I hope you are all well and have had a wonderful week. It has been so nice not being at work, but it's also been a bit of a frustrating week in the respect that I seem to have lost the ability to colour, several images have ended up in the bin this week, I don't know whats wrong with me.

Any how Phil and I are off to Jersey on Sunday morning, it will be lovely to get away even if it is only for a few days and then I am off to Lincolnshire to stay my parents for a while, I am also off to visit a good crafty friend of mine in Whitby which I am really looking forward to. Now I will stop waffling and get on with the reason that I am here this morning.

We have a new challenge at Fussy and Fancy today and this time the lovely Diane is hosting. She has chosen 'A Walk in the Garden', (anything to do with a garden, flowers, bees, butterflies etc.) which is such a beautiful theme for this time of year.

I coloured up a stamp from the Stempelglede Vintage Garden  set with DI reinkers.

I don't think there is a bird in this country that has these colours, I got a bit carried away with my colouring (before I lost my ability lol), but wouldn't it be lovely if there was?

The die cut along the top is a Memory Box die, Chrysanthemum and the edges have been painted with some Dutch Doobadoo paste.

My script stencil came out to play again, you can just about see the effect on the tag on the left hand side of the pic.  The tag, butterflies and fence are all Joy dies.

The pretty ivory lace and cheesecloth are from the Ribbon Girl

The flowers and pearls are from my stash.

DI list:
Bird: Stormy Sky, Weathered Wood,  Barn Door, Aged Mahogany, Walnut Stain, Spiced Marmalade
Flowers: Aged Mahogany, Spun Sugar, Barn Door, Stormy Sky, Weathered Wood,Tumbled Glass
Leaves: Forest Moss, Shabby Shutters

The lucky winner of this challenge will win:

A Noor Design Gift Voucher

Well that's it from me today.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Inspiration Card for the Ribbon Girl

Hi everyone,

I hope you are all well and had a wonderful weekend. The summer certainty arrived here in the south of England, it was a beautiful weekend.

After today, I have one and a half more days left until we break up for the summer holidays, not that I'm counting lol.

This morning, I am popping in to share my inspiration card for the Ribbon Girl.

Don't fall over, but this one hasn't got an image on it, I really wanted to use a new stencil that I received for my birthday from a good crafting friend.

The text has been added using some modelling paste and I've used a different stencil to create the stars along the bottom. I haven't put too much on the card as I didn't want to cover up the stenciling.

All the beautiful flowers, lace, pearl trim, pearl string, ivory twine and the pearl flower diamante and pearl embellishment are from the Ribbon Girl. They don't have the exact  Scrapiniec chipboard birdcage that I've used, but they have a very similar one in their store. The pretty papers are by Lemoncraft from the House of Roses collection and are also available in the store.

I couldn't make a card without adding some pretty butterflies.

That's it from me today.

Thank you for popping in.

Take care.

My First Christmas Card of the Year!

Good morning everyone,

I hope you are all well. After today I have two and a half days left of school before we break up for the summer holidays yay!! A groups of us are off to London straight from school today to wander around the sights, a trip on the  London Eye and have cocktails and dinner, it should be a fab evening!

This morning, I am showcasing a card for the new challenge at Fussy and Fancy. It is not my teams turn to post, but I couldn't resist joining in with Norma's challenge:

Christmas in July

This is my first Christmas make of the year, I am a bit behind with making Christmas Cards, I normally start in June, but hopefully over the summer I will be able to make lots.

I have coloured up Tilda with Winter Skates and masked her with the Winter Bench stamp. I  bought some snowballs from Anna Marie Crafts as I thought they be fab in a shaker card.

The eight point, skates, tag and ice crystals are all Joy dies from Noor Design U.K. I have added some Twinklets to the ice crystals to give them a lovely icy look. The ivy is a Lea'bilities die.

The lace and pom pom trim are from the Ribbon Girl.

DI list:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick
Hair: Walnut Stain, Antique Linen
Trousers, Scarf: Hickory Smoke
Ice Skates, Jumper and Hat: Weathered Wood

Selfie Tilda

Hi everyone,

I hope you all had a fab weekend. Mine was very busy with little crafting time, but it was lovely.

Today I am sharing a card I made recently using Selfie Tilda.

The shape is made using a circular Crealies stitched die, most of the embellishments on this card are from my stash, but the pearl string, and lace are from the Ribbon Girls, they currently have 20% off all lace and appliques until tomorrow (12th July).

It is quite hard to see in the photo, but I have placed some die cut flip flops on top of the shells and to stay with the theme I filled a little bottle with sand.

DI list:
Skin Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick
Hair: Walnut Stain, Antique Linen
Costume, Flower: Victorian Velvet
Phone: Hickory Smoke

That's all from me today.

Thank you for popping in.

Hi everyone,

This morning we have a new card challenge at the Ribbon Girl and as always it's an Anything Goes challenge, any theme, any shape as long as it is a card.

I have coloured up one of my old Saturated Canary images, she is called Ava. I have coloured her with DI reinkers which is my favourite medium at the moment.

I have attached some ivory twine for the string of the balloon and added some Stardust Stickles to give it some sparkle.

The majority of dies are by Joy, the tag is a Magnolia die and all the pretty embellishments are from the Ribbon Girl  including the divine pink satin spot/tulle ruched pleated trim which is new to the shop.

Di reinkers:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick
Hair: Walnut Stain, Antique Linen
Dress: Aged Mahogany, Spun Sugar, Weathered Wood
