GDT card - the Paper Nest Dolls

Good morning everyone,

Today I am popping in to share a GDT card I made using one of the Paper Nest Dolls images.

This is Avery with Bear Friend, and how sweet do they look together?

You can't really see much of the papers, but they are by Maja from the A Gift For You collections called My Dear Friend, I have painted white gesso around the edges.

I printed the image and used a Lea'bilities oval frame set die to make the shape.

The stars edge die, ice crystal, tag and cute mittens are all dies by Joy from Noor Design U.K.

The pom pom trim is from the Ribbon Girl.

It is quite difficult to see in the picture, but I have sprinkled some Twinklets onto the roses to give them a lovely icy look.

The lace, flowers and pearls are all from my stash.

DI list:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick
Hair: Walnut Stain
Jacket, Boots, Hat: Aged Mahogany, Spun Sugar
Trousers: Hickory Smoke, Spun Sugar
Scarf: Aged Mahogany, Hickory Smoke

Bear: Walnut Stain, Worn Lipstick
Scarf: Weathered Wood

Well that's it from me today,

Thank you for popping in.

Lovely Hanglar or Sweet Magnolia Reminder Card

Hi everyone,

I hope you are all having a fantastic weekend. It is a Bank Holiday weekend here in the U.K. so most of us have an extra day off this week (although it's not quite time for me to go back to school yet).

I am popping in today with a reminder card for the current challenge at Lovely Hanglar or Sweet Magnolia and our challenge is

All the die cuts I have used are Joy dies from Noor Design UK. Links to the materials I have used are at the bottom of this post, just click on a picture to be taken directly to the product.

The gorgeous Pom Pom trim and Shabby White Ruffled ribbon are from the Ribbon Girl.

New Challenge at Fussy and Fancy - Let's Fly Away

Good morning,

I hope you are all having a fab week. We have had some very hot and sultry weather here in the U.K. this week, far too hot for me. I have had another busy week, I visited London on Tuesday with some colleagues from work and boy was it hot, but we had a fab time site seeing, and enjoying the vibe of London. We walked 12.5 miles, which equated to 29,650 steps WOW. Today I am visiting my eldest son and his girlfriend which I am very much looking forward to.

Anyway enough waffle from me, as today we have a new challenge starting at Fussy and Fancy, which is being hosted by the lovely Eileen who has chosen Let's Fly Away (things with Wings/Holiday Destinations).

I have made a Christmas card, as I am behind with them this year, so don't be surprised if you see a few popping up now and again.

The stamp is by Hobby Art, called Watering Can Robin and I coloured it using DI reinkers.

I've made the shape of the card using a Go Kreate die, Frilly #6. All the dies are from Noor Design U.K. the papers are by Joy (Winter Wonderland paper pad)

The flowers which are from my stash have had Twinklets added to them which gives a lovely sparkly/frosty feel.

The bird peeping out of the top left hand side is a Wycinanka chipboard piece, which I've sprinkled blue frantage over. The die cuts have also been sprinkled with blue frantage and the ice crystals have had twinklets added to them.

DI list:
Watering Can: Hickory Smoke
Robin: Walnut Stain, Spiced Marmalade, Barn Door, Aged Mahogany, Hickory Smoke
Ivy: Forest Moss, Shabby Shutters
Berries: Aged Mahogany, Barn Door
Flower Pot: Walnut Stain, Spiced Marmalade

We would love to see you join us.

New Challenge - Lovely Hanglar or Sweet Magnolia

Hi everyone,

I hope you are having a fantastic weekend and maybe getting some crafty time in.

I've been away for a little while visiting my parents (I had a fab time) and I also drove to Whitby to meet a crafty friend, we have been emailing and phoning each other for about 3 years now, so it was lovely to actually meet her face to face. Mum and I had some retail therapy and visited lots of lovely crafty shops  I also needed a bit of a break and some me time, but I am now raring to go again.

The Lovely Hanglar or Sweet Magnolia challenge is back today after our summer break and the theme is easy peasy 'Use a Die Cut'.

I have coloured up one of the new gorgeous Maggies, and she is called Tilda Enjoying Summer.

The die along the top edge of the card is a Magnolia Doohickeys, Celebration Lace Swag, all the other dies are from Noor Design U.K.

All the pretty pearl string is from the Ribbon Girl. Where possible I have put links to the materials I have used at the bottom of this post, just click on a picture to be taken directly to the product.

DI list:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick

Digi Bells - Em Jay

Hi everyone,
I hope you have all had a good week.

Phil and I had a fab time in Jersey, although we were sadly let down by the weather. The day we landed it was pure blue skies and the temperature was just right  to go out and about exploring, but then it went downhill from there. It rained non stop for several days, until we arrived at the airport to fly home when the sun decided to show it's face again. We made the best of it, but there are only so many times you can get get soaked before feeling a bit fed up.  Now I am preparing to go off on my travels again this weekend to stay with my parents in Lincolnshire and meet up with a crafty friend in Whitby. Mum and I will be out and about doing some crafty shopping whilst I am there, what more can a girl ask for, maybe just a bit of sunshine?

Anyway on with the task in hand, I am super excited to share with you that I have been asked to be a GDT for the next 3 months for the Digi Bells.

This is my first card for them using the very cute Em Jay, isn't she sweet? She can be purchased here.

I have coloured her using Di reinkers and added a little white frantage around the outside of the image.

The papers are by Maja from the Summer Basic collection.

The heart and circle dies have been cut twice, once in cream card and once in the paper and then I painted some gesso around the outside of the paper.

In the centre of the butterfly I have stuck a Tim Holtz pen knib and added some gesso to it for a different effect.

DI list:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick
Hair: Walnut Stain, Antique Linen
Dress and Rose Braclet: Aged Mahogany, Spun Sugar
Shoes: Gathered twigs
Flowers and Bracelet: Dusty Concord, Milled Lavender, Forest Moss, Shabby Shutters

Well that's it from me, I will be taking a break from blogging whilst I am away.

Thank you for taking the time to pop in.

Hugs
