Magnolia 'Merry Christmas Tilda'

Good morning my lovelies,

I hope you all had a lovely weekend, ours ended up unexpectedly busy, we ended up with the boys and their girlfriends popping over and having Sunday dinner with us which was lovely, but unfortunately  I didn’t get a lot done. We were lucky the storm has passed through and we escaped unscathed, I hope all those of you that are in the U.K. did too.

I just I would just pop in and show a card I have made using ‘Merry Christmas Tilda’ from the new collection, I think she may become a favourite. Just to give a little bit of sparkle I have added a clear gem to the centre of the poinsettia.  She is coloured with Copic Marker s and a few highlights have been added with Prisma Pencils. The yummy papers are Maja. The snowflakes are a gorgeous Joy die and I’ve added a few pearls to the centres. The Guipure Lace, Carnations, Cherry Blossom, Flat Back Pearl, the lace that I’ve made the bow with are all from the Ribbon Girl. For a change I’ve laid a few natural fibres over the top of the bow. Everything else is from my stash.

Copics I used:
Skin: E31, 21, 00, 000. R21

New Challenge LHOSM 'Sparkle'

Hello my lovelies,
I hope you are all well and having a lovely relaxing Sunday. Phil and I were supposed to be heading off the Peak District for a couple of days this morning, but due to the storms we are expecting we have cancelled, never mind I will just have to stay indoors and craft instead J

Anyway enough mumbling, and on to the task in hand, we have a new challenge at LHOSM, and the theme this week is to see some sparkle. We are sponsored by the lovely
Ribbon Girls.

I had a good look through my crafting boxes, but didn’t really have a sparkly embellishment so I decided to go with Glamour Dust and ended up making a right mess. I have used two of the luscious new stamps from the new Winter Wonderland collection called ‘Puppy Love Tilda, I have masked her with the Peaceful Christmas Tree, which I have stamped 3 times and sprinkled some Glamour Dust over them .  Tucked behind the image is some cheesecloth.  As always I have coloured the images using Copics and a few highlights have been added using Prisma Pencils. All the embellishments, ribbon, pearls and Lace are from the Ribbon Girl, please see below for a list of the materials used.  I took the centre out of the Daisy and replaced it with a flat back pearl, covered it in glue and sprinkled some Glamour Dust over it. I wanted to add some colour to the rose which started off as cream so I coloured it with Aged Mahogany Distress Ink before covering it with Glamour Dust. Just peeking out to side of a flowers is my favourite Magnolia Swirl die.   More Glamour Dust has been added to the trees and to the Slender Firs which is a Magnolia DooHickeys Die.

 Copics I used:
Skin: E31, 21, 00, 000, R31
Hair: T8, 6, 4, 2, 0
Dress: R89, 85, 83
Present: W7, 5, 3, 2, 1,
Trees: C3, 1, 0. E44, 43, 42, 40

 Background: W5, 3, 2, 1, 0

I hope that you will join us in our challenge to be in with chance of winning such a wonderful prize.

Thank you for popping in.

Magnolia 'Tilda with Snowheart'

Good evening everyone,

I hope you are all well!

I am sorry that I haven’t been around much, but work has been extremely busy and I am totally worn out and very behind with my cards. The good news is that school broke up for the half term holiday today hallelujah!!!

I made this card a little while ago using the cute Tilda with Snowheart. She has been coloured with Copics and I have added a few highlights using a black Prisma Pencil and a few sprinkles of Frantage have been added to give a snowy affect. The poinsettia is a Marianne die and I’ve added some beaded stamens and some Diamond Dust. The roses have also had some Diamond Dust added to them and the blue stamens are from the Ribbon Girl. I have used some of the gorgeous Silky Crush Ribbon to make the bow and I’ve attached a pearl bead and a very sweet silver mitten charm from The Hobby House. Most of the materials I have used are listed below.

Copics I used:
Skin: E31, 21, 00, 000, R21
Hair: E57, 43, 53, 50
Dress, Boots: C5, 3, 1, 0
Scarf, Gloves & Hat: B45, 41
Backround B45, 41, C3, 1, 0

Pencil: Black

I must apologise if you keep getting an error pop up saying 'No Data' when you look at my blog, but I haven't managed to sort out what the problem is yet, although everything seems to be working O.K.

I just want to say a huge thank to you all for leaving me such lovely comments as it really means a lot to me.

 Take care,
Hugs

New Ribbon Girl Colour Challange 'Brown'

Good morning my lovelies,

I hope you are all having a lovely weekend and are able to have a little crafting time to yourself.  I don’t think I will have much time today as we are having a family dinner to celebrate George’s safe return J

We have a new colour challenge over at the Ribbon Girl this morning and this month the colour is ‘Brown’. Below is a very yummy picture to inspire you.

There are two  fabulous prizes up for grabs:

My card this time has an autumnal feel to it. I have coloured up the lovely ‘London Tilda’ and ‘Vintage Swedish’ background stamp using Copic markers and added a few highlights with Primsa pencils. Looking at it now I should have coloured her umbrella in a different colour, but never mind. The swirl (my favourite) is a Magnolia DooHickey die and the papers are Maja. All the beautiful flowers, ribbon, lace and charm are from the Ribbon Girl. The pictures below will take you directly to the products I used.
