Tilda with Balloon

Hello everyone,

I hope you are having a good week so far. It is the first day of the summer holidays for me and I am a little bleary eyed as I write this . It is tradition that on the last day of the summer term a group of us from school go to London and have dinner and then go on to a see a show. This year we went to see Mama Mia and it was amazing, the singing and dancing was out of this world,  however it was rather a late night and I didn't arrive home until 1.00 p.m. this morning.

Today we have a new challenge at Marvelous Magnolia and the challenge this time is 'Monochrome'. Once again I was out of my comfort zone as I have not made a card to fit this theme before so I hope I have got it right. I made a Joy Fold card for a change and stamped up the very sweet Tilda with Balloon and coloured her with copics and Spectrum Noir pencils and then added some Star Dust Stickles to the balloon and bottom of her dress to give a bit of sparkle. As you can see I got a little carried away with the stitching which took me hours to do. All the gorgeous embellishments are from the Ribbon Girl

The die cut flowers are quite an old Magnolia Doohickeys die and the sentiment is an LOTV stamp.

On the left hand panel,  I have placed some beautiful lace around the edges of the paper. In the middle section I have cut a couple of tags and attached some pearl bead string. Around the edges of the pocket is some Pearl Daisy trim.  On the right hand panel is a paper doily and a circular Spellbinders die.

Magnolia Tilda with Leo the Lion

Hello everyone,

I'm back again with my card for our new challenge at Lovely Hanglar or Sweet Magnolia and this week our challenge is 'Buttons'.

This is the first time I have got round to colouring up Tilda with Leo the Lion, which is very appropriate for the month of August. I coloured this image with copics and Spectrum Noir Pencils whilst we were sweltering in the heat and humidity and had real problems get the pens to blend lol. I am still practicing hand stitching, some are better than others, but I am determined to crack it. The lush papers are from Pion. The beautiful Ivory Fine Cotton Lace is from the Ribbon Girls and the flowers are from my crafty stash. The swirl die is my favourite Magnolia Doohickeys flourish die. The ribbon is from my stash and the sentiment has been printed from my computer and wound round a very cute cotton reel.

LOTV - Christmas Candle

Good morning everyone,

I hope you had a good week and are enjoying your weekend. It is still hot here, too hot for me, even though we have had some rain and thunderstorms.  I am really struggling with my crafty mojo at the moment, I think it is a mixture of the heat and tiredness, but I am on count down now, two and a half days left until the summer holidays - yay!

This morning we have a new colour challenge at the Ribbon Girls and this month the colour is  Aqua. I took a long time deciding which image to colour and which medium to use, but eventually decided on my Spectrum Noir Pencils. She is oldie LOTV image called 'Christmas Candle' which I have stamped onto Kraft card.  I am very new to colouring on Kraft card, but quite enjoying it.  I have gone a bit mad with the Frantage and sprinkled it on the die cuts and the corrugated card tucked behind the image. Peeping out from the top is some gorgeous cheesecloth. The Christmas papers are by Maja. The beautiful flowers, ribbon, cheesecloth, lace , bakers twine, jingle bells and lush diamante snowflake are all from the Ribbon Girls. Links to the products are at the bottom of this post, just click on a picture to be taken to the product.

Lucia - Tilda with Candle

Hello my lovelies,

I hope you are having a good week. It is still hectic for me as there is lots of data to analyse before the end of term, but it's not long to go now before we finish for the summer - yay.  I really haven't got very far with any crafting this week, I am very tired and it is  getting very hot here in the south of the U.K., and  annoyingly I am struggling to get my pens to blend.  A group of us are off to have dinner at a local pub after work today and then head back to see the school production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat. The rehearsals sound amazing so I am looking forward to it.

That is enough rambling from me,  here is another Christmas card I have made that I am quite pleased with. She is called Lucia - Tilda with Candle and I have masked her with a real favourite of mine, Old Swedish Church.  I loved colouring her dress and I think the pleats have turned out quite well. I have sprinkled some Frantage around the image, which gives a lovely snowy effect. I know you can't see the papers very well, but for a change they are by Pion and called Icicles. Tucked behind the image is some corrugated card which I have also added some Frantage to and a lovely paper doily. The die on the right is a Magnolia So Wrapped So Lovely die. The flowers are from my stash and have had some Diamond Dust sprinkled over them to give a real frosty effect and I have painted some Gesso on the fir cones. I bought the sweet little snowballs from a local craft fair that I went to recently and the fir branches are a Joy Crafts die. The beautiful lace is from the  Ribbon Girl links are at the bottom of this post.

Tilda with Spitz Pocket

Hello my lovelies,

I hope you are having a good week, one more day it's weekend yipee!

Today we have a new challenge at Marvelous Magnolia and our challenge theme this time is CAS or Over the Top. You guessed it I chose Over the Top.

For this challenge I stamped up Tilda with Spitz pocket onto a Spellbinders die, which I can't remember the name of and used Copics and Spectrum Noir pencils to colour her. The papers are by Lili of the Valley and are called Pressed in Time. I have hand stitched around the edges which I think is a bit neater than the last card so I am improving, if you missed my last post pop over to Linda's blog where you will find an easy to follow stitching tutorial. All the beautiful embellishments are from the Ribbon Girl. The little square pearls at the the top and bottom of the image have been cut from some Ivory Pearls Square trim. Links to the products are at at the bottom of this post, just click on a picture to be taken directly to the product.
