New Callenge at LHOSM - Sitting Tilda with Clogs

Hi everyone,

Well its been a while since I last posted, but I have been away spending time with my parents in Lincolnshire. I don't get to see them very often as they live so far away.  Mum and I went out and about visiting lots of craft shops and having lunch plus whilst I was up that way I travelled onto Whitby to visit my crafty friend Judy. We had a lovely crafty catch up, did a bit of shopping, and had some crafty time together.

Anyway that is enough of my rambling, as today we are back from our summer break at Lovely Hanglar or Sweet Magnolia. Our theme for this months challenge is 'Die Cuts'.

In this card, I have masked three of the new stamps from the Country Girl collection. I have coloured  Sitting Tilda with Clogs, Happy Swing and  Swing Branch and coloured them with DI reinkers.

All the dies are by Joy Crafts, links are at the bottom of this post. On the right hand side of the image I have punched out a border with a Martha Stewart punch.

Just in front of the left hand border die is some white frilled lace and pearl trim from  the Ribbon Girl.

The flowers are pink and grey roses finished off with some beautiful white meadow spray.

DI list:
Tilda:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick
Hair: Walnut Stain, Antique Linen
Dungarees: Victorian Velvet, Hickory Smoke
Blouse and Clogs: Hickory Smoke
Swing: Frayed Burlap
Branch: Gathered Twigs, Forest Moss, Shabby Shutters
Grass: Forest Moss, Shabby Shutters
Sky: Tumbled Glass

Our wonderful sponsors for this month are the  Ribbon Girl
Lifelong crafters Mother and Daughter, Mary and Andrea were tired of having to buy full rolls of ribbon and lace when they only needed one metre.  Because they love ribbons and all things pretty, they decided to open their own online shop in 2010 and make small quantities of beautiful products easily available to all crafters. Mary owns the shop and runs it on a day to day basis as well as keeping the website updated while Andrea looks after the social side,  The Ribbon Girl Blog and the Design Team. They specialise in supplying small (or large) quantities of ribbon, twine, gorgeous vintage style lace and seam binding ribbon, tiny pom-pom and ric-rac trim, all sorts of buttons, fancy pins, a multitude of charms, pearl and crystal flourishes, wool felt squares, seasonal and unusual embellishments, mulberry flowers, sticky tape and accessories to card makers, crafters, scrapbookers and cake decorators. They stock only the best quality products and only offer for sale goods that they would personally buy and use themselves.

Well that's it from me today.

Thank you for popping in.

Take care.

New Challenge At Fussy and Fancy

Good morning everyone,

I hope you all having a good week.

This morning starts the new challenge at Fussy and Fancy and it's my turn to host. I have chosen 'Favourite Colours' as the theme.

Well of course my favourite colour is pink, I particularly love pink with grey and green.

This little cutie is an old Maggie, but I still love her.  I have stamped her with Timber Brown Stazon ink onto Fabriano Artistico extra white water colour paper and coloured her with distress ink reinkers  and added some star dust stickles to her balloon to give it some sparkle.

The papers are by Maja and have been painted with white gesso.

The lace swag that runs down the left hand side of the card is a Magnolia Doohickey die which has been cut twice, once in white card and the second time in coordinating papers and I've added a few pearls to finish it off.

Just peeping out from the top is paper doily, the pink pom pom trim is from the Ribbon Girl, they are currently out of stock of the pink, but do have a variety of other colours in stock. The square pearl trim and Ivory Fluted Edge ribbon is also from the Ribbon Girl.

The balloons have been cut from a Poppy Stamps die and I've added a twine bow to the top.

The pink rose is from the Ribbon Girl, but the others are from my stash.

DI list:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick
Hair: Antique Linen, Walnut Stain
Dress and Headband: Victorian Velvet
Shoes: Pumice Stone, Black Soot

The winner of this challenge will win a Guest Designer spot for an upcoming challenge.

That's it from me today.

Have a wonderful weekend.
