Inspirational Post for Digi Doodles Studio - Cocoa's Snowballs For Sale

Good morning everyone,

Well today is my first official inspirational post for Digi Doodles Studios. I had great fun colouring up this cute image called  Cocoa's Snowballs For Sale. I just adore her sweet smiley face. I have decoupaged the snowflake at the side of her hat and placed a clear gem in the centre.

I have coloured the image with DI reinkers and sprinkled some frantage around the outside of the image. The lying snow and fur around her hat is Glamour Dust.

The papers are from the Hobby House.

Tucked underneath the image and just peeping out at the top and left hand side is Joy Crafts Ice Crystal doily die and the star with swirls is also a Joy Crafts die.

Most of the flowers and snow ball embellishments are from my stash. The die cut pine branches have been cut from a fantasy die.

The gorgeous blue sheer ribbon, beautiful guipure lace and square pearl trim are from the
 Ribbon Girl.

DI list:
Snowman/Girl: Hickory Smoke, Black Soot
Coat and Hat: Victorian Velvet, Hickory Smoke, Black Soot
Scarf: Iced Spruce, Victorian Velvet
Bird:Tumbled Glass, Worn Lipstick, Old Paper, Gathered Twigs
Signposts: Pumice Stone, Tumbled Glass

If you get a chance, pop on over to Digi Doodles Studios for a peep at Dina's fabulous images.

That's it from me today.

Have a great weekend.

New Challenge at Fussy and Fancy - So Spooky

Good morning my lovelies,

I hope you are well and have all had a fabulous week!

This morning I am sharing a card for the new challenge at Fussy and Fancy. Our lovely Sasha has chosen the theme:

So Spooky

This was slightly difficult for me as as I don't generally make Halloween cards, so I don't have any dies etc., but this is what I came up with.

The image was a freebie from Elisabeth Bell which I have coloured with DI reinkers.

As I didn't have any suitable papers I embossed black card and applied some Pebeo gold gilding wax. The purple flower is from my stash and the rolled roses I cut with black card and a Joy Crafts die again I added some gold gilding wax to the tops of the flowers.

The die peeping pour on the left is a Joy Crafts die, once again I have once again cut it in black card and applied some gold gilding wax.

The broom stick I made with a cocktail stick,  some natural silsa and some twine.

The bow is made from spider web netting and I've placed a black button in the centre.

DI list:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick
Hair: Gathered Twigs
Robe & Hat: Hickory Smoke, Black Soot, Dusty Concord
Broomstick: Gathered Twigs
Pumpkins: Spiced Marmalade, Ripe Persimmon

Thank you for popping in.

Take care.

Well today is the first day of my holiday and I am dragging Phil to Hobbycraft lol.

Today I am sharing a Christmas card which I made for fun. She is an older Maggie called Tilda with Fir and I have coloured her with DI reinkers.

The papers are from the Hobby House.

The flowers are from my stash, but the fir cones can be bought form the Ribbon Girl.

The lattice die peeping out of the right hand side of the card is a Joy Crafts die, you can find the link at the bottom of the page.

The pine branches have been cut from a Fantasy die and I've painted on some white gesso to emulate snow.

The pearl trim, guipure lace and scalloped lace are also from the Ribbon Girl and the gorgeous red dazzler in the centre of the bow is from my stash.

New Challenge at Lovely Hanglar or Sweet Magnolia

Hi everyone,

I hope you are having a wonderful weekend!

I am sharing my card for the new challenge at Lovely Hanglar or Sweet Magnolia. Our challenge for the next four weeks is:

Use Trim
(ribbon, pearl trim, seam binding, lace, twine, organza roses, pom pom trim etc)

I have coloured up an older Maggie called Tilda in Christmas Coat. The trees in the background I drew myself. I am hoping to do more freehand backgrounds. I don't think it is too bad for a first attempt.  The only trouble is it takes me quite a long time so I won't be able to do it on all of my cards until I get better and faster at it.

The frozen border die cut on the left hand side has been cut from a Jeanine's die twice and mounted on top of each other. I only placed the glue along the bottom edge so it can be opened up to give some dimension. Sitting underneath the image along the bottom is a Joy Crafts die 'Icicles Edge'.

The pearl trim, pom pom trim, lace and ribbon are from the Ribbon Girl.

The rhinestone sparkler in the centre of the bow is very similar to the silver glitter flatbacks at the Ribbon Girl.

DI list:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick
Hair: Gathered Twigs, Walnut Stain
Coat and Boots: Hickory Smoke, Black Soot
Present and Tights: Weathered Wood

The trees have been coloured with a mixture of watercolour paints and DI reinkers
burnt umber watercolour paint and walnut stain distress reinker.

Our fabulous sponsor is
The Rubber Buggy

We would love for you to share your creations with us.

That's all for now.

Thank you for popping in.

Hi everyone,

If you are looking for the Paper Nest Dolls card, then please scroll down.

******************************************

I am popping back in to share a reminder card at the Paradise of Stamps for our current challenge

Autumn

I have coloured up a stamp I bought a few months ago with autumn in  mind from Stamping Bella, she seems quite popular as I have seen quite a few cards with her on in blogland. She is called Autumn loves Autumn.

As always I have coloured her with DI reinkers and used a white posca pen for the white dots on the toadstool.

The papers are by Pion Syringa and Canus and have been edged with white gesso.

The leaves down the left hand side have been cut from a Memory Box die twice, once in coordintating Pion paper and once in brown card.

The flowers are mainly from my stash except for the ivory exotic blossom which is from the
Ribbon Girl. The cheesecloth is also from the Ribbon Girl.

The bronze charm, ribbon and tulle lace are from my stash.

The sentiment comes with the stamp.

DI list:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose
Hair: Gathered Twigs
Top and Shoes: Barn Door, Aged Mahogany, Black Soot
Leaves (Dress): Forest Moss, Shabby Shutters, Rusty Hinge, Barn Door

New Ribbon Girl Challenge - Winter Tilda

Hi everyone,

I hope you are having a great weekend, gosh it's the 1st of October already, WOW, September zoomed past. I've noticed the trees are changing colour a lot earlier this year and they look gorgeous.

Anyway enough of my waffling as this morning we begin a new card challenge at the Ribbon Girl

I have coloured up an older Maggie called 'Winter Tilda' and masked her with Old Swedish Church.

I have used distress reinkers to colour her and sprinkled some frantage around the image which I think is great for falling snow. For the lying snow I have used glamour dust.

Peeping out of the top left hand side is some gorgeous Silver Star Twinkle tinsel.

The flower arrangement is made up of a white daisy, I removed the centre and replaced it with a fabulous silver glitter flatback, carnation, beaded stamens, pine cones (painted with white gesso), and frosted berries. I have also added some twinklets to the daisy and carnation which gives a lovely icy look.

I used some white/white spot organza ribbon to make the bow and made another bow made from silver metallic twine, attached a silver candy cane charm, finishing off with a beautiful diamante snowflake in the centre.

Towards the bottom of the card, I've placed some beautiful 'Phoebe' white guipure lace, some more silver tinsel and double row pearl trim, not forgetting the very seasonal pom pom trim.

Finally I've draped some oval pearl string from one side of the card to the other.

DI list:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick
Hair: Walnut Stain, Antique Linen
Coat, Hat and Boots: Hickory Smoke, Black Soot
Background: Hickory Smoke, Victorian Velvet, Black Soot

As always, we have THREE beautiful prizes up for grabs:

Second Prize:
Second prize:  Your choice of 2 of the Christmas Mini Packs of 6x6 papers from the Ribbon Girl.
