Love is in the Air - Whimsy - Polly

Hi everyone,

I hope your week is off to a good start. It's the normal busy one so far for me, but we are almost half way through the week and before we know it, it will be the weekend yay!

As we are about to enter the month of love, I made a Valentines card just for fun. I stamped up this cute Whimsy Stamp who goes by the name of Polly and coloured her using DI Reinkers.

The papers are from the new Pion collection called 'Love is in the Air'. The heart die and  kisses are cut from Joy dies from Noor Designs U.K. The hearts are from a Dutch Doobadoo paper art kit. On the right hand side is a heart cut from the Magnolia So Wrapped Lovely die, which I tied some Ivory lace to and added more kisses. The pearl beaded hearts are from the Ribbon Girl.

The corner is a bronze metal die which I have painted with gesso. The flowers, lace and ribbon are from my stash.

DI list:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick
Hair: Walnut Stain, Antique Linen, Rusty Hinge
Dress: Gathered Twigs, Old Paper, Barn Door, Aged Mahogany
Rose: Aged Mahogany, Barn Door, Forest Moss, Shabby Shutters
Boots: Frayed Burlap

That's it from me today.

Enjoy the rest of your week and thank you for popping in

Whimsy 'Pixie'

Good morning,

Happy Friday, I hope you are having a good week, it has been a chilly one, but I do love this crisp cold weather. I am quite excited as tomorrow I am going to a local craft fair, it is quite small at the moment, but they are trying to expand it, so of course I have to go along to show my support lol.

Today I'm sharing a card I made for fun using a new Whimsy Wee stamp called 'Pixie', isn't she gorgeous?

I stamped her on a Spellbinders circle die and sprinkled some Shabby White Frantage around the outside edge. I have coloured her using DI reinkers and added some star dust stickles to her wings to give them a lovely sparkle. The lovely papers are by Lemoncraft and called 'Touch of the Sun'. Along the top I've added some lovely pearl string and the die peeping out on the left is a Magnolia Celebration Lace Swag. Tucked underneath the image is an 8 point die from Noor Design U.K. The swirl die is an older Magnolia die.  The lace is from the Ribbon Girl.  The strand of lilac beads is a purchase I made at the NEC last November and the flowers ad ribbon are from my stash.

DI list:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick
Hair: Walnut Stain, Antique Linen
Dress and Wings: Shaded Lilac, Weathered Wood, Tumbled Glass
Branch: Gathered Twigs
Leaves: Shabby Shutters, Forest Moss
Bird: Weathered Wood, Tumbled Glass, Spun Sugar

That's it from me today.

Enjoy your day whatever you are doing.

New Challenge at Fussy and Fancy - Saturated Canary - Glinda

Hi everyone,

Well it's been another busy week and I am once again looking forward to the weekend. I hope you have all had a good week.

Today I am sharing a card for the new challenge at Fussy and Fancy. Our challenge theme for the next two weeks is 'Fashion' (dress (male/female), shoes, hair, bags, glasses, jewellery, gloves etc).

I have coloured up one of my old Saturated Canary digi stamps called Glinda and coloured her with DI reinkers.  Unfortunately the picture doesn't show it and I forgot to photograph it at another angle, but I have decoupaged her dress to give it depth. Peeping out of the top is another new Joy die from Noor Design UK called doily edge.

The papers are by Maja Design and have been hand stitched around the edges, again you can't make it out in the photo, but I have mounted Glinda onto a Marianne heart die. The centre of the heart has been covered with ivory lace to give a different look.

I printed the masquerade mask out, colour and embossed it with silver embossing powder and added a few pearls.

The ribbon, lace, flowers and charms are from my stash. It's hard to see, but just underneath the flowers on the right is a silver shoe charm and I've placed a handbag charm under the rhinestone sparkler in the centre of the bow.

DI list:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose
Hair: Walnut Stain, Antique Linen
Dress: Aged Mahogany, Spun Sugar, Gathered Twigs
Eyes: Tumbled Glass
Gloves: Spun Sugar

Sweet Lilac Flowers are sponsoring this challenge, we would love for you to join us.

Well that's it from me.

I hope you have a lovely weekend whatever you are doing.

Thank you for popping in.

Paradise of Stamps - Free Spirit Tilda

Hi everyone,

I hope you have had a good week. Well its back to normal now, getting up at the crack of dawn for us and travelling to and from work in the dark. Still the weekend is nearly here yippee!

Today I am showcasing my reminder card for the current challenge at the Paradise of Stamps and this time the challenge is Bingo:

I have coloured up another Magnolia stamp, this one is called Free Spirit Tilda. I think she is my favourite of this collection.

I opted for a full house so if I start with the left hand corner, and work across, the shape of the card is cut from a Go Kreate die. Sat underneath the image is a Noor Design die (Square Frame) which I have embossed. I have added some sparkle to the flowers in her hair (you can just about make it out in the photo). I have hand stitched around the outside of the card and on the extra panels. A bronze birdcage charm has been placed under the flowers. The corner is a handmade embellishment using air dry clay and a silicone mould. The lace and pearls speak for themselves. Along the  right hand side panel I have used a Martha Stuart punch to make the lacy pattern and I've also punched out a butterfly, which leaves the flowers which are all from the Ribbon Girl. Links to the materials I have used are at the bottom of this post, just click on a picture to be taken directly to the product.

DI List:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick
Hair: Walnut Stain, Antique Linen
Dress: Victorian Velvet
Shoes: Gathered Twigs

One randomly selected winner will win the following prize donated by my lovely teamie Katarina:
