New Challenge at LHOSM - Tilda with Little Snowy Snowman

Hi everyone,

We have a new challenge at Lovely Hanglar or Sweet Magnolia today and our theme is Snow/Glitter.

Well that's great for me because I love incorporating glitter into my Christmas makes.

I have coloured up Tilda with Little Snowy Snowman using distress reinkers. and sprinkled some white frantage around the image and glamour dust for the hat and snow. To finish it off I have framed the image with white pearl string.

The lace, ribbon, jingle bells, flowers and pearl trim are available from the Ribbon Girl.

Sitting underneath the image and on the left hand side of the card are two new Joy dies, the ice crystal doily die and scrolled icicle edge,  links to the materials I have used are at the bottom of this post, just click on a picture to be taken directly to the product.

DI list:
Sin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick

Our wonderful sponsor this time is the Ribbon Girl, you could win:

New Card Challenge at the Ribbon Girl - LOTV Christmas Flowers

Good morning my lovelies,

I hope you are having a lovely weekend. I went to the craft fair at the NEC yesterday so I am recovering from sore feet, but I had a wonderful time, there weren't as many of the big named companies there, and it didn't seem so busy this year, but that meant you could get to the stands more easily and actually see the goodies.  I spent far too much money, but hey ho what else is a girl to do when they are shouting buy me???

Anyway, this morning we have a new card challenge at Ribbon Girl

The challenge is 'Anything Goes', any theme, any shape as long as it's a card.

I have coloured a new stamp from LOTV called Christmas Flowers with distress ink reinkers, most of my cards this year seem to be non-traditional colours, I didn't set out to do that, it just happened. I saw that the Ribbon Girl had some lovely new flowers in which were perfect to use and from them I knew exactly what colour I wanted to use for the main colour. I finished the image off by sprinkling some white frantage to give the look of falling snow and some glamour dust for the lying snow.

I cut the shape of the card using a Spellbinders oval die and added some ice crystals from a Joy die. The papers are by Maja, not that you can see them lol, I cut three layers and painted some gesso around the edges. Tucked underneath the second layer is some beautiful medium white pom pom trim. The Lilac flowers are new to shop, I added some white gesso around the edges of the petals, The magnolia flower has had some twinklets added to it to give it some sparkle and a frosty look. Then to finish of the flower spray I added a couple of pink beaded cherries.

I have used two different laces, Charlotte Elizabeth vintage lace and White Frilled lace and the ribbon I used for the bow is Pale Fuschia plain sheer.

Attached to one of the pom poms is a beautiful diamante star charm.

DI list:

Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick
Hair: Walunt Stain, Antique Linen
Coat and Boots: Victorian Velvet
Scarf: Victorian velvet, Hickory Smoke
Poinsettias: Victorian Velvet
Leaves: Fores Moss, Shabby Shutters, Pine Needles
Berries: Aged Mahogany

We have THREE very generous prizes for this challenge:

First Prize:
Papers from Maja Design Sweden - the prize will be sent directly to the winner.

Second Prize:
A £10 voucher towards a shopping spree at the Ribbon Girl
Third Prize:
A stamp of the winners choice from LOTV

My teamies have made some gorgeous cards, so if you have a moment, pop over and take a look.

That's it from me today, enjoy the rest of your day whatever you are doing.

Thank you for popping in.

Mistletoe Fairy

Hi everyone

Happy Friday to you all, I hope you have had a good week and wish you a fab weekend.

I am off to the NEC tomorrow which is very exciting, I wonder what crafty goodies I will bring home?

I am popping in to share another Christmas card I have made this time using the gorgeous Whimsy Wee stamp, Mistletoe Fairy.

She was an absolute joy to colour with my Di reinkers.

The shape of the card started as an oval. Peeping out from the top left hand side is a Joy die, Circle die No. 2..

The flower arrangement is made out of roses (sprinkled with twinklets), red berries, fir cones, beaded berries and die cut spruce twigs, I've added some white gesso to them to represent snow and some silver jingle bells.

The sentiment banner is a Joy die. The 'Merry Christmas', sentiment is from the Best Wishes English banner text.

Instead of colouring the mistletoe berries I have sprinkled some glamour dust over them.

The lace and ribbon are from my crafty stash.

Di list:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick
Hair: Walnut Stain, Antique Linen
Dress: Forest Moss, Shabby Shutters
Leaves: Pine Needles, Bundled Sage

I have coloured the wings in co-ordinating colours and added some star dust stickles to give  them some sparkle.

That's it from me.

Thank you for popping in.

Happy crafting.

The die peeping out at the top is one of my newest die by Joy, and I love it!

The pom pom trim is from the Ribbon Girl.

The gorgeous spruce ferns are a Magnolia die and the flowers, rhinestone sparkler and ribbon are from my stash.

New Challenge Marvelous Magnolia - Anything Goes

Hi everyone,

I hope your week is off to a good start, well I am back at work now, following my week off, it was such a lovely week, which flew by far too quickly.

Anyway we have a new challenge at Marvelous Magnolia starting today and our theme is the ever popular 'Anything Goes'.

This is Christmas Candle Tilda masked with Old Swedish Church, I think this is my favourite background stamp.

I have used two Joy dies which are mounted underneath the paper, links can be found at the bottom of this post. On the left hand side I have placed a couple of vintage straws and mounted a lantern chipboard piece which has been painted with white gesso on top of the straws. I've tied a bow out of twine and placed a silver wreath charm on top.

The ice crystal is also a Joy die, which I have covered with twinklets and popped a pearl into the centre. The fir cones have been painted with white gesso and the roses have also had twinklets added to them.

The pleated tulle, organza ribbon and pearl and diamante embellishment are from my stash.

DI list:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick
Hair: Walnut Stain
Coat, Hat and Boots: Hickory Smoke
Candle: Old Paper Forest Moss, Shabby Shutters, Mustard Seed, Wild Honey
Church: Hickory Smoke, Mustard Seed

Our wonderful sponsor for this challenge is:
