Polkadoodles Digi Tuesday Challenge - Ruby Hey There

Hi everyone,

School has broken up for half term, so I have a week off - yay! It has been so busy so far, it was my birthday yesterday and I had a lovely day and thoroughly spoilt. I also visited my eldest son at the weekend and we have our youngest sons dog staying with us whilst he is sunning himself in Cyprus.

I am so excited to be guest designing for Polkadoodles for the next 8 weeks.

You can find the the challenge here which is 'Anything Goes' for everyone except the DT. We were challenged to make a creation with the theme 'Use Something not for Purpose'. I struggled a bit with this but lucky for me they gave us a bit of help and suggested straws, pegs, well tank goodness I have both of these in my stash. As a bonus today you can get 35% off on selected downloads in the store today.

So for my first GDT card I have coloured up 'Ruby Hey there'.

I have coloured her with DI reinkers and added some pink frantage around the outside of the image. to finish it I have added some pink pearl string.

The die peeping out on the left hand side is a LDRS die.

The papers,  and sentiment are from a digi from Polkadoodles, links are at the bottom of this post, just click on a picture to be taken directly to the product. The die cut flowers are also from Polkadoodles.

DI list:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick
Hair: Walnut Stain Antique Linen
Dress and Bag: Hickory Smoke, Victorian Velvet
Shoes and Flower: Victorian Velvet

The winner chosen by random will win 3 digis of their choice.

That's all from me today.

New Challenge at LHOSM - Hello Little Butterfly

Hi everyone,

It's a Bank Holiday weekend for those of us in the U.K. I hope you are having a fabulous time and the weather is being kind to you. It is nice and warm, here in the south.

We have a new challenge beginning at Lovely Hanglar or Sweet Magnolia today. Our theme for this challenge is:

Summer
(this can be summery backing paper, summer image, flowers, butterflies, anything to do with summer).

I have coloured up another older Tilda's called Hello Little Butterfly Tilda  and masked her with the Open Gate stamp. I used DI reinkers to colour the scene.

The papers are by Maja called Love is in the Air and I've machine stitched the edges.

I've placed some ivory pearl string around the outside of the image. The die cut corner has been cut  from a Robert Addams set of 4 dies.

The butterflies have been cut from a Joy Crafts die in coordinating papers and I've added some ivory pearl trim to the centre.

The die cut peeping out of the top is a large Marianne corner.

Most of the flowers, lace, pink glitter ribbon, pearl trim, pearl string, double row pearl trim, pearl cluster and sparkly gem butterfly charm are from the Ribbon Girl. There is currently 15% discount across the whole of the shop, which runs until the 2nd June.

DI list:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick
Hair: Walnut Stain, Antique Linen
Dress: Victorian Velvet, Hickory Smoke
Gate: Gathered Twigs, Black Soot

Hi everyone,

I hope you have had a good weekend. It has been lovely and sunny here today.

I am popping in to share a shaker card I made recently.

I stamped Tilda onto some Artiostico extra white watercolour paper with timber brown staz on ink and coloured her with DI reinkers. The final step was to sprinkle some pink frantage around the outside of the image and heat set it with a heat gun, before adding the sequins and acetate.

The shape of the card has been cut with a Go Kreate Flower die and the papers are by Maja from the Celebration collection which I have edged with white gesso.

The die cuts I have used on this card are cut from Joy Crafts and Fantasy dies.

Hi everyone,

I hope you enjoyed the extended weekend if you are in the U.K. Crikey it was glorious weather, if a little too hot for me. It was a fairly relaxing weekend. Phil and I went on a 7.5 mile bike ride this morning, but that was early before it became too hot. The rest of time I was either in my craft room or sat in the shade doing some crocheting.

I am popping in to share another Polkadoodles card, I am really enjoying colouring up these cute images. This gorgeous stamp is called 'Sending Wishes'.

I painted the image with DI reinkers and wanted the colour to be quite soft.

The small pink envelope has been cut from a Woodware punch.

The lace, silver butterfly and pearl trim are from the Ribbon Girl. The pink organza ribbon is from my stash, but the RG have lots of beautiful ribbons to choose from.
