Pop up Box

Hi everyone,

I hope you all had a lovely weekend. We had the most violent thunderstorm I have ever known in the early hours of Saturday morning and it went on for hours, we had very little sleep that night. Several houses in our area were struck by lightening, including a house just across the road from us. Our internet was knocked out, OMG I didn't realise how much I relied on having the internet, it is like loosing your right arm and we have been without it all weekend!!. BT came out today and our modem had been fried and also the line at the exchange, but hey ho we are back on line now.

I thought I would pop on and share a pop up box I made for my Dad for Father's day. I don't have many embellies or dies for male cards as I really dislike making them, so I spent quite a bit of time scrabbling around my craft room trying to find dies etc suitable for a male. So this one took me right out of my comfort zone, but once I got into it, I really enjoyed it.

I found the papers at the bottom of my drawer, I completely forgot I had them, they are Prima papers (Engraver) collection. The clock is a Cheery Lynn die and the two clock faces are Prima Wood embellies. The cogs are Robert Addams dies. The two keys are a Tim Holtz die and the 'For You' sentiment is a Joy Crafts stamp. I stamped out the word Dad onto a sheet of the Prima paper and covered it with Glossy Accents.

I hope you like it.

Take care, thank you for popping in and a big thank you for your lovely comments, I really enjoy reading them.

Hugs
Gina x

  1. This is fabulous, so different and I love it Gina. Storms are so scary. We had thunder so close once that the actual house shook and we, like you, took a direct hit. So very scary. Hope the weather settles soon.

  2. Oh wow Gina, this is totally stunning. I don't like making male cards either, but next time I need one I may have a bash at something like this. I agree, we're more addicted to the net than we think we are, glad you are all ok though :) xx
