New Challenge at Fussy and Fancy - Winnie Fairy Sparkle

Good morning,

Wow, what gorgeous weather we have had here in the south of the U.K. this week. I hope you have had a good week, just a few more hours and it will be the weekend yay!

We have a new challenge at Fussy and Fancy today and its my turn to host for the next couple of weeks, so I have chosen the theme....

Add a Die Cut

I was very lucky to go to Ally Pally a couple of weeks ago and bought a few Polkadoodles stamps to try out as well as a few other things:)

This little sweetie is called 'Winnie Fairy Sparkle' and I have coloured her with distress reinkers. I added a small amount of frantage around the outside of the image and some stardust stickles to her wand.

You can just about make out some cheesecloth which I've placed underneath the image.

I've cut a few new dies which I also bought at Ally Pally. On the left hand side is a LDRS crown glory border die. The corner die comes in a pack of four by Robert Addams and the die peeping out underneath the flowers on the right hand side is a Fantasy die. The butterfly is an old  Joy Crafts die.

The flowers, pearl string,  lace and ribbon are from my crafty stash.

DI list:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick
Hair: Antique Linen, Walnut Stain
Dress: Victorian Velvet, Aged Mahogany
Wings: Weathered Wood
Teddy: Gathered Twigs
Flowers: Victorian Velvet, Weathered Wood

The winner  will join us in an upcoming challenge.

That's all from me today.

Midway post - Lovely Hanglar or Sweet Magnolia

Hi everyone,

I hope you are all well. What fabulous weather we had yesterday, I managed to spend a bit of time tidying up the garden.  We are still decorating, but I think it will be finished by the end of next week.

Today I am joining in with the mid-way post at Lovely Hanglar or Sweet Magnolia.

Our current challenge is .....
Spring Flowers

On this card, the roses are my spring flowers, you would think they are a summer flower, but you do get species that bloom in spring.

This Maggie is another of my older stamps and she is called 'Sneaky Tilda'.

I stamped her onto a some Artistico extra white watercolour card and cut her with a Spellbinder oval die. Once she was coloured with distress reinkers, I mounted her onto a Joy Crafts die cut and added some pearl string.

The die cuts on the left and right hand side of the card are by Joy Crafts and Little Darlings

I made the butterfly out of air dry clay and a mould and added some pearl trim along the centre.

The flowers, lace, ribbon bow and bronze butterfly charm are from my crafty stash.

The furry bon bon (just above the pink and brown roses on the left hand side of the card) is from Noor Design U.K (Crafteezee).

DI list:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick
Hair: Antique Linen, Walnut Stain
Dress and Bow:Victorian Velvet, Gathered Twigs
Shoes: Gathered Twigs

Tilda with Little Pocket

Good morning,

I hope you are all well. You wouldn't' believe it is Spring, we have had so much rain lately. Its a busy time here as we are decorating the hall. The good thing about my hubby is once he sets his mind to something he really cracks on with it. The worst part of it is out of the way now, we have finished stripping the old wall paper, the ceilings and coveings are painted and he has started hanging the wallpaper.

I thought I would pop in to share a card I made for fun. I have been practicing my drawing skills and had another go at a background scene using various watercolour paints. Tilda has been coloured with distress reinkers.

This gorgeous Tilda is called 'Tilda with Little Pocket' another old stamp, I am not so keen on the  new stamps that Magnolia are bringing out at the moment.

The shape of the card has been cut with a Presscut die and the papers have been edged with white gesso.

The pretty die cut peeping out of the left hand side is a Fantasy die and the on the right is a Joy Crafts die. At the top of the card is a Marianne corner die which has been cut in coordinating paper and I've placed a peal gem in the centre.

The beautiful flowers, lace, pearl string, sparkle ribbon and pearl and diamante flower embellishment are from the Ribbon Girl.

DI list:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick
Hair: Antique Linen, Walnut Stain
Clothes: Victorian Velvet, Black soot
Shoes: Gathered Twigs
Flowers: Milled Lavender, Victorian Velvet, Forest moss, Shabby Shutters

GD card for Whoopsi Daisy

Good morning everyone,

Happy Easter Monday!

I hope you are enjoying your extended weekend and maybe getting in some crafty time as well as eating chocolate lol.

Last month, Linnie from Whoopsi Daisy Designs  asked me if I would do a GD spot for her, of course I couldn't resist.

This morning a new challenge begins over here where the winner gets to choose FOUR images and will be invited to join the DT for a month as their Guest Designer.

This beautiful lady is from the 'Cute as a Button' CD which has oodles of gorgeous  images, pre-coloured and black and white, papers and extras.

I have coloured her with distress ink reinkers in my favourite colour of pink.

The shape of the card has been cut with a rectangle Crealies die.

The butterfly edge die is Joy Crafts die which I have cute twice to give some dimension, once in white card and secondly in coordinating papers.

I have also tucked a lovely view die under the image on the left hand side. The butterflies are also cut from a Joy Crafts die and I've added some white pearl trim along the centre.

The pink bow has been made out of luscious pink silk ribbon, which is absolutely gorgeous to work with and the pink rose, and the silver glitter embellishments are from the Ribbon Girl.

DI list:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose
Hair: Antique Linen, Walnut Stain
Dress and Shoes: Victorian Velvet, Black Soot

New Challenge at LHOSM - Mr and Mrs

Hi everyone,

If you are looking for my inspirational card for the Ribbon Girl, please scroll down.

*********************************************************
We have a new challenge beginning at
Lovely Hanglar or Sweet Magnolia today and the theme is the ever popular:

'Spring Flowers'.

I have coloured up a new Maggie (Mr and Mrs), well I've had a little while, but only just got around to colouring it up. So I was thinking of a 'Spring Wedding'. I haven't gone with the normal spring colours for this card, but roses, daisies and carnations do bloom from mid spring on wards.

I have coloured the images with distress reinkers and added speckles of  glitter to her dress, which doesn't show up in the pic and some stardust stickles to her crown.

The shape of the card has been cut with a hexagon shaped die.

The papers are from a 12 x 12 paper pad called The Formal Affair paper stack, which I have machine stitched around the edges. As it's a wedding card, I have covered the smallest hexagon in white lace, on the top and base of the card,  which doesn't show up very well in the pic.

I have cut several dies on this card, Sizzix (Distressed Doily), Magnolia (So Wrapped Lovely Tag) (Little Darlings (Lovely View) and Lala Land (Heart Doily).

Where possible I have put links to the products I have used at the bottom of this post, just click on a picture to be taken directly to the product.

DI list:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick
Hair: Walnut Stain, Antique Linen
Bride
Dress and Veil: Hickory Smoke, Black Soot
Flowers: Victorian Velvet, Aged Mahogany, Forest Moss, Shabby Shutters
Groom
Suit and Hat: Hickory Smoke, Black Soot
Bow Tie and Flower: Aged Mahogany, Victorian Velvet
Shoes: Pumice Stone
Stones: Victorian Velvet, Hickory Smoke
Window: Gathered Twigs, Black Soot
