New Challenge at Polkadoodles - Winnie Christmas Shopping

Good morning,

I hope you are all well and have had a lovely week.

This morning we have a new challenge at Polkadoodles Crafting. For all you lovely crafters out there the theme is 'Anything Goes, but the DT are always tasked with a challenge and this time we were asked to produce creations of 'Christmas not a Card'.

Well I scratched my head for along time over this and eventually decided to make a gift bag.

This little sweetie is called 'Winnie Christmas Shopping', I really enjoyed colouring her up with my Distress Reinkers. I have sprinkled some white frantage around the outside of Winnie and added some Glamour Dust to the brim of her hat, the fur on her boots and the lying snow. If colouring is not your thing, you can also buy her pre-coloured.

The papers are from Winnie White Christmas Paper 1 kit. The Winnie White Christmas Big Kahuna kit is so worth the money, you get oodles of goodies, from papers, to pre-coloured digis, black and white digis, embellishments, alphabets, toppers, Christmas foliage, design sheets, black and white accessories and word art.

It doesn't show up very well in the picture, but I've added some twinklets to the ice crystals and rose which gives them a lovely icy/frosty look.

Attached to the handle on the right hand side is a bauble which I printed out from the embellishments section of the Winnie White Christmas Big Kahuna.  I've added some silver stickles to the top of it to bling it up. The sentiment is also from the sentiments collection in the Big Kahuna.

The rose, pine cones, pom pom trim, pearl trim,  pink seam binding, jingle bells and beautiful lace are from the Ribbon Girl.

The beautiful wine glass charm was a gift from a lovely crafty friend.

New Challenge at Lovely Hanglar or Sweet Magnolia - Tilda with Little Snowy Snowman

Hi everyone,

If you are in the U.K., I hope you are enjoying your bank holiday weekend.  I am back from my travels. I had a fabulous time with my parents, Mum and I went around all the local craft shops and had a good spend:) I also spent a couple of lovely days with my crafty friend Judy in Whitby.

Today we have a new challenge at Lovely Hanglar or Sweet Magnolia following our summer break.

The challenge theme is.....

Dies or Punches

I have made a start of my Christmas cards. This is Tilda with Little Snowy Snowman.  I stamped her onto Artistico extra white water colour paper with a Stazon timber brown ink pad, cut her with a circular die and placed it onto a Yvonne's Creations Holly Jolly nesting frame. I have coloured her with DI reinkers and added some glamour dust to her hat.

The shape of the card has been cut with a Spellbinders large circular die.

The papers are by Maja from the Vintage Autumn Basics collection.

The sentiment is from a Whimsy set of stamps which I have embossed with white embossing powder.

The pine cones, pink rose, organza ribbon and pearl trim are from the Ribbon Girl, who currently have 15% off everything in their shop until midnight tomorrow (Monday).

The cute little mittens are a Joy Crafts die which I have cut in a non shed glitter card.

Where possible I have put the links to the materials I have used at the bottom of this post, just click on a picture to be taken directly to the product.

DI list:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick
Hair: Walnut Stain, Antique Linen
Coat and  Hat: Victorian Velvet

Our lovely Jay is going to put together a surprise gift for the winner of the challenge.

New Challenge at Polkadoodles Crafting - Eden Cherry Blossom

Morning everyone,

I hope you are well. I am still away spending time with my parents as this post goes out.

We have a new challenge at Polkadoodles Crafting today. Whilst it is an 'Anything Goes' theme for all you lovely crafters, the DT were tasked with making 'round cards'.

For this challenge I have coloured up Eden Cherry Blossom, she was such a joy to colour up. I have coloured her with DI reinkers  and sprinkled some white frantage around the outside of the image  finishing off with some white pearl string. I have mounted it onto a LDRS Butterfly Wreath die.

I cut a spellbinders circular die to create the shape of this card.

I have teamed the card up with papers from the Eden Heaven plain Jane paper 3 set and I've edged the papers with white gesso.

The sentiment has been taken from the Quotes/Sentiments Lil Miss Sugarpops Kit and 1 and 2 download kit.

The flowers and ribbon are from my own crafty stash.

Links to the Polkadoodles goodies are at the end of this post, just click on a picture to be taken directly to the product.

DI list:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick
Hair: Walnut Stain, Antique Linen

New Challenge at Fussy and Fancy

Good morning everyone,

I hope you have all had a lovely week. As this post goes out I will setting off to the Peak District with hubby. Tomorrow we are visiting my son and his girlfriend in their new home in Nottinghamshire (it's a farm, I am very excited to see it) and on Sunday I am off to stay with my parents in Lincolnshire for around 10 days to do some some crafty shopping and to re-charge my batteries. I haven't seen them for a year so I am looking forward to it.

So today begins a new challenge at Fussy and Fancy Our lovely Tone is hosting this challenge and she has chosen the theme of:

CAS (Clean and Simple)

Well this challenge took me right out of my comfort zone, I really struggled with it to begin with as I have never made a CAS card, but thankfully my lovely crafty friend Judy came to my rescue and set me on the right path ( I will also be visiting Judy in Whitby whilst staying with my parents:) We are going to make some Christmas cards together:)

For my card I coloured up an All Dressed Up image, she is one of my favourites. I have coloured her with DI reinkers. I don't really own many sentiments but this stamp was a freebie from a magazine, I'm so glad I kept it.

I have added a few white dots to the centre of the flowers with my white posca pen.

The ribbon was a left over piece which came from the Ribbon Girls (what a great way to use up some scrap ribbon).

 DI list:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick
Hair: Walnut Stain, Antique Linen, Black Soot
Dress and Shoes: Victorian Velvet, Black Soot
Wings: Victorian Velvet, Picked Raspberry, Milled Lavender
Flowers: Victorian Velvet, Picked Raspberry, Aged Mahogany, Forest Moss, Shabby Shutters

The winner of this challenge will win a GDT spot for an upcoming challenge.

That's all from me today.

Thank you for popping in.

Have a wonderful weekend.

New Challenge at Polkadoodles Crafting - Fairy Christmas

Morning everyone,

I hope you have had a good week and Happy Friday!!

We have a new challenge at Polkadoodles Crafting today. It is an 'Anything Goes' challenge for all you lovely crafters out there (you don't have to use a Polkadoodles image to enter), but the DT were given a theme of Christmassy colours, I chose to go with traditional colours.

This gorgeous image is from the Winnie Winterland collection, she goes by the name of Fairy Christmas. I have coloured her with DI reinkers. To create the white dots on the present and the white areas on the baubles, I used some pebeo drawing gum (which masks out the areas) before I started colouring, but you need to let it dry before colouring.

Some Stardust stickles has been added to her wings to give them a lovely sparkly look.

The papers are a mixture from Winnie White Christmas (papers 1) and Winnie Winterland paper heaven 3, the candy canes and holly leaves are from the big Kahuna collection (the image and Winnie White Christmas papers are also part of the Kahuna collection or are sold separately). The sentiment is a freebie in the shop.

The pine cones, beaded stamens, red berries, frosted berry and white pearl trim are from the
 Ribbon Girl.

DI list:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick
Hair: Walnut Stain, Antique Linen
Dress: Bundled Sage
Present and Baubles: Fired Brick, Aged Mahogany, Black Soot

The winner of this challenge will win a $10 gift voucher to use in the Polkadoodles download store and the top 3 winners will win a free digi stamp voucher.

For some reason not all the images for the products below are showing up again, but you can still click on them to take you the product (click on them twice if it doesn't open up first time).

That's all from me today.

Have a lovely weekend.

Thank you for popping in.

New Challenge at Creative Inspirations - Lingonberry Light Tilda

Good morning everyone,

Gosh it has been a while since I last posted, but I haven't been idle. Several of my DTs are on their summer break and I have been cleaning the house from top to bottom. I have also been working behind the scenes creating some Christmas cards:)

This morning begins a new challenge at Creative Inspirations and our theme for this month is ......

Holidays
whether that's celebrating the Summer Holidays or it can be something Christmassy the choice is yours!

I chose to go for a Christmas theme, that wasn't a difficult decision for me as they are my favourtie style of card to make even though it has been so hot here.

This is Lingonberry Light Tilda she is so cute. I have coloured her with DI reinkers and added some white frantage around the outside.

The snowflake border die peeping out of the top is a Precious Marieke die, the icy crystal is by Joy Crafts and the spruce fern is an old favourite of mine by Magnolia. I have added some twinklets to the icy crystal and ferns which gives them a lovely icy/frosty look.

The lace, ribbon, pine cones, square pearl trim, silver jingle bells and silver glitter embellishment is from the Ribbon Girl (they are currently offering 15% discount across the whole store).

DI list:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Worn Lisptick
Hair: Walnut Stain, Antique Linen, Black Soot
Dress and Candle: Hickory Smoke, Black Soot
Flowers: Aged Mahogany, Black Soot, Bundled Sage
Flame: Spiced Marmalade, Wild Honey, Mustard Seed

We are sponsored this month by Crafty Charlie and the prize is a £20 voucher to spend in their store.

That's all from me today.

Thank you for popping in.
