Whimsy 'Daphne'

Good morning everyone,

I hope you are having a good week. Phil and I were out and about enjoying the beautiful sunshine yesterday. Today we are going to tidy up the garden. 

This morning I am sharing my reminder card for the challenge at Paradise of Stamps. Our theme this time is a nice easy one 'Add a Charm'.

As spring seems to be well on it's way now, I decided to colour up the beautiful 'Daphne' again using distress reinkers and markers. I have painted on Dutch Doobadoo Structure paste around the edges of the image and placed some cheese cloth behind. The banners are a Noor Design die and again I've added some structure paste. 

I've wound the banner around a cotton reel and again painted some structure paste along the edges.  The sentiment  is part of the Best Wishes English sentiment stamp set, and  are designed to fit the banner dies.

Tucked underneath the flowers is a Noor Design filmstrip die which has been covered in pink frantage. The flowers, lace and charm are from Ribbon Girl.

Whimsy 'Daphne'

Hi everyone,

I hope you are having a good week, mine could be better, and I have been  feeling lousy with a bad cold, but hooray it's nearly the weekend. The last few weekends have been very busy so I'm looking forward to having a nice relaxing one.

I am just popping in with a card I made for fun recently using another of the beautiful Whimsy Stamps called 'Daphne' and I have used DI markers and re-inkers to colour her. It was a beautiful spring day which prompted me to colour up this beauty as the daffodils are now out in bloom. Peeping out at the top is paper doily and a bow made from  ivory silky crush ribbon with a beautiful pearl diamante flower embellishment in the centre. Around the image is some pearl string. In the centre of the small flowers on Daphne are some small pearls, but unfortunately they don't show up very well in the picture. 

The lace, flowers, string pearl, and square pearl trim, ribbon, trinket pin and pearl and diamante embellishment are available from the Ribbon Girl.
