New challenge - Marvelous Magnolia - Magnolia Pop up Card

Hi everyone,

I hope you all had a lovely relaxing weekend. George, Katie and Kyra came over for dinner on Saturday and the rest of time we spent relaxing.

We have a new challenge today at Marvelous Magnolia and our theme this time is Polka Dots.

For a complete change I made a Christmas pop up card, using a mixture of old and new Magnolia stamps. I haven't made a pop up card for years and really enjoyed making it, although it was quite time consuming and I'm quite a slow crafter too.

The papers are from a Craftwork Cards Christmas paper pad. I have distressed the edges and mounted it onto some pink card. The die at the top is a Noor Design die which has had lashings of Diamond dust sprinkled over (I love this stuff). Tucked underneath the flowers is a Magnolia fir leaf die and a Memory box loopy rings die. The ribbon and flowers are from my stash and the lace and pearl bead is from the  Ribbon Girl.

Inside the card I have coloured up Winter Night Background, Tilda with Lantern and Christmas Candle Tilda. On the base on the card is  pull out tag and a Marianne Poinsettia die which has been edged with structure paste.

Our lovely Jenny is sponsoring this challenge, so pop over to her blog to see what lovely goodies she is giving away.

That's all from me today.

Thank you for popping in.

Hugs

I'm now a Fussy and Fancy Girl

Good morning everyone,

I have some exciting news which I've been bursting to share, I am now a Fussy and Fancy girl, the lovely Sheryl invited me to join her wonderfully talented team and whilst I have a lot on at the moment, I couldn't resist! So this is my first posting for the team and I am also hosting the challenge too, eek no pressure.

Anyway on with my card today which is sponsored by the Sheri Baldy from My Besties, the winner will receive 3 of her fabulous digi images. Our challenge is Beach Fun. It would be lovely to see you join us in this challenge.

Sherri very kindly gave us some images to choose from for this challenge and I chose Frilly Fins Mermaid. I coloured her using a mixture of DI markers and re-inkers. The die peeping out at the top is by Noor Design, Under the Sea which has been cut from the paper pad aptly called Under the Sea and edged with structure paste. The straws are from LLC and I've cut a couple of banners out using another Noor Design die. On the right is a mini bottle which I've filled with sand to keep within the theme, which has been finished off with a bow made fom Natural Twine and a peal oyster charm. The star fish is a Magnolia stamp which I've coloured and finished off with some Glossy Accents and added another pearl oyster charm. I have listed the materials I've used at the bottom of this post (where I can), just click on a picture to be taken directly to the product.

DI list:

Fin: Peacock Feathers, Picked Raspberry

LOTV - A Little Prayer

Good morning,

It's the middle of the week already, gosh it is flying by. Two weeks today and school breaks up for the summer holidays, not that I'm counting lol!

I thought I would pop in with another Christmas card which I've made using an LOTV stamp, 'A Little Prayer'. I didn't mean to colour her quite this dark, but I got a little carried away. The stars along the top edge are a Marianne die, which I've cut twice to give a more 3D affect, they have also been edged with structure paste. The viewmaster die and leaves are by Noor Design. The sentiment is also an LOTV stamp and I've added a few sprinkles of frantage to it. The flowers, pearls and tulle lace are from my stash.

DI list:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose
Hair: Walnut Stain, Antique Linen
Dress and Cloak: Gathered Twigs
Stars: Wild Honey

That's it from me today.

I will be back on Friday.

Thank you for popping in.

New Challenge LHOSM - Sea Shell Tilda

Hi everyone,

I hope you are enjoying the weekend. The hot weather continues although it is a little cooler today so more bearable. I went to a local craft fair yesterday, it is one I visit every year, but the usual organisers pulled out this year so a couple of craft exhibitors joined together and the show went ahead. The exhibition used to be over two floors, but there were only a handful of exhibitors this time, hopefully there was enough foot fall for the show to continue next year and get back to what it once was.

Anyway enough of my rambling, we have a new challenge at LHOSM and our challenge this time is 'Summer Fun'

I have coloured up 'Sea Shell Tilda'. She has been coloured with a combination of DI markers and re-inkers. Peeping out at the top is a new die and I've also used some papers from the same collection called Under the Sea from Noor Design UK.   The lace and ribbon are from the Ribbon Girl. Where possible I have put the links to the materials I have used at the bottom of this post, just click on a picture to be taken directly to the product.

DI list:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Aged Mahogany
Hair: Walnut Stain, Antique Linen
Dress and Flip Flops: Peacock Feathers
Bucket and Hair Band: Aged Mahogany, Spun Sugar
Shells: Gathered Twigs

Our sponsor for this challenge is Jules House of Ribbons

Thank you for popping in and enjoy the rest of your Sunday!

Whimsy 'Summer Fairy'

Hi everyone,

I hope you have all had a good week and not been affected by the heat too much if you are in the U.K.,  I for one have struggled with it, particularly on Wednesday when the temperature hit the mid 30's and it was so humid, I love to see the sunshine, but I can't cope with the temperature being above 24 degrees. My office was like a greenhouse especially in the afternoons, I guess I am more of an autumn/ winter girl.

Anyway today I am sharing a card I made for fun using another Whimsy stamp 'Summer Fairy', it is just a quick make but I think it turned out O.K.  She has been coloured using a combination of DI markers and re-inkers. The papers are by Maja and although it doesn't show up very well  in the picture I have hand stitched around the edges. Both the dies are by Noor Design and the flowers, lace, charm and ribbon are from my stash. I can only put a couple of links in to the materials I used this time, and they are at the bottom of this post, just click on a picture to be taken directly to the product.

DI list:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose
Hair: Walnut Stain, Antique Linen
Dress and Flowers: Victorian Velvet
Wings: Iced Spruce, Victorian Velvet
Leaves: Forest Moss, Shabby Shutters

That's it from me today, I will be back on Sunday.

Thank you for popping in.

Take care.
