Card Challenge at the Ribbon Girl - A Little Prayer

Good morning everyone,

Happy Sunday to you all, I hope you have a wonderfully relaxing day and are able to squeeze a bit of crafting in.

As this is my last day before returning work, I am planning to spend it in my craft room, Phil is away so I only have myself to think about.

Anyway that is enough waffle from me, as today following our summer break, the card challenge team from the Ribbon Girl are back. As long as you enter a card, it can be any theme (Anything Goes), and any shape.

As you can see I have made another Christmas card, I will be focusing on Christmas as much as the challenges will allow me I can as I am very behind with my  Christmas makes.

This beauty is an LOTV stamp called A Little Prayer and she has been coloured with DI reinkers.

Peeping out from the top is a Crafters Companion Die'sire edge'ables die called Christmas Bow.  and I've added a few pearls to the centre of the bows for interest. The circle die,  peeping out from the left and the frame and tag are both Joy dies.

The bronze fir cone charms fit perfectly with the gorgeous Amanda lace bow finishing off with one of my favourite embellishments the Pearl and Diamante flower.

The rich red velvet lace is just beautiful against the Maja papers which have been edged with white gesso.

I have painted the pine cones with gesso to give a snowy effect, these and the flowers, in fact all the embellishments are available from the Ribbon Girl.

DI list:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick
Hair: Walnut Stain, Grand Espresso
Cloak: Aged Mahogany. Spun Sugar
Dress: Gathered Twigs, Old Paper
Stars: Wild Honey

We have THREE very generous prizes up for grabs:

First prize:
Papers from Maja - sent directly from Sweden

Second prize:
A £10 voucher towards a spending spree at the Ribbon Girl
Third prize:
A stamp of the winners choice from LOTV

That's it from me today.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday!

Thank you for popping in.

New Challenge at Marvelous Magnolia - The Day Before Christmas

Hi everyone,

I can't believe it is the 1st September today, WOW this year has gone so quickly, before you know it Christmas will be upon us.

Well I am enjoying the last few days now before returning to school on Monday, sigh, but I have had the most wonderful summer holiday, I think I will remember this one for some time to come.

Anyway, today we have a new challenge at Marvelous Magnolia and our theme is Ribbon or Lace.

I have coloured up a Maggie called The Day Before Christmas using DI reinkers.

I decided to make another shaker card using the lovely snow balls.

The papers are from the Hobby House, Vintage Christmas Stripe and Vintage Christmas Spot and I used a Martha Stewart punch in some areas to give a different effect.

I chose to make the card using ribbon, and I was totally in the zone, not really thinking about anything, I didn't  realise I had used some lace it until the card was finished, I think I am programmed to automatically to use it, but at least it is just  a little bit so hopefully I can get away with it.

The lace, pearl and square trim are from the Ribbon Girl.

The circular wreath peeping out on the left hand side is a Memory Box die called Frostyville Wreath and the Christmas text is a Crafters Companion Des'ire die.

I have cut the gorgeous holly leaves out from a Sizzix die called Holiday Greens and added some gesso to the tips of the leaves.

The ribbon, flowers and bells are from my stash

DI list:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick
Hat/Ball Balls: Aged Mahogany, Fired Brick
Tree: Forest Moss, Shabby Shutters

The winner will win a $35  voucher to spend in the lovely I am Roses shop

Well that's it from me today.

Thank you for popping in.

Take care.

GDT card - the Paper Nest Dolls

Good morning everyone,

Today I am popping in to share a GDT card I made using one of the Paper Nest Dolls images.

This is Avery with Bear Friend, and how sweet do they look together?

You can't really see much of the papers, but they are by Maja from the A Gift For You collections called My Dear Friend, I have painted white gesso around the edges.

I printed the image and used a Lea'bilities oval frame set die to make the shape.

The stars edge die, ice crystal, tag and cute mittens are all dies by Joy from Noor Design U.K.

The pom pom trim is from the Ribbon Girl.

It is quite difficult to see in the picture, but I have sprinkled some Twinklets onto the roses to give them a lovely icy look.

The lace, flowers and pearls are all from my stash.
