New Anything Goes Challenge at Ally's Angels

 Hi everyone,

I hope you had a wonderful weekend. I have actually managed to do a little crafting for a change. It is my husband's birthday at the end of the this month so I am working on a card for him. Male cards are definitely not my thing!

This evening we are kicking off the first challenge of the year at Ally's Angels and as always it is

Anything Goes

For this challenge I coloured up a sweet maggie from the Spellbound kit.

With making Christmas cards for the past few months, I have missed colouring in pink so it was a good excuse to use to get the pink distress inks out again.

DI colours:

Skin: Vintage photo, tattered rose, worn lipstick

Hair: Walnut stain, antique linen

Dress & ballet shoes: Victorian velvet, aged mahogany

Gloves & crown: Hickory smoke

The dies I have used on this card are all pretty old, in fact I haven't bought any new ones for a long time.

The flowers are all from Wild Orchid crafts and the lace and ribbon are from my own stash.

Ally is offering this gorgeous set of heart dies to the lucky winner

That's all from me today.

Thank you for popping in.

Happy crafting:)

First challenge for Creative Inspirations of the Year

Good morning,

I hope you all had a good Christmas and Happy New Year. Let's hope it is a healthy and safe one for us all!

The first challenge of the new year for Creative Inspirations is a nice simple one. The theme for this month is .....

Anything Goes

The Paper Shelter are sponsoring us this month and they have very kindly provided the DT with a gorgeous floral design called In Bloom. I must admit Idid struggle with this one as it not my usual style of image.

I have used distress reinkers to colour the flowers.

I cut the shape of the card with a square die and made a frame using the same set of dies. To give the frame some dimension I fixed some foam tape on the back and added some pearl trim around the oustide of the frame.

The butterflies were cut from a joy crafts die.

The flowers are from my own craft stash.

The Paper Shelter  are sponsoring us this month and the prize is 3 images of the winner's choice.

That's all from me today.

Enjoy the rest of your week.

Happy crafting:)

New Anything Goes Challenge at Ally's Angels

 Hi eveyone,

The weekend is almost upon us. I hope you have had a good week.

We have a new challenge beginning at Ally's Angels and as always the theme is........

Anything Goes

I have coloured up one of my favourtie Christmas Tilda's for this card called Show Me the Way Tilda and I've masked her with the very cute Baby Rudolph.

There is a hidden tag at the top of the card, but I completely forgot to photograph it!

I have coloured the scene with distress reinkers, sprinkled some shabby white frantage around the outside of the image and heat set it. For the lying snow I have sprinkled on some Crafters Companion faux snow. To create the moon I used a  mask from Clarity Stamps.

Skin: Vintage photo, tattered rose, worn lipstick

Hair: Walnut stain, antique linen

Coat and Hat: Faded jeans

Rudolph: Gathered twigs, antique linen, worn lipstick, fired brick

The poinsettia was cut using a John Next Door die in coordinating paper and I added a few stamens to the centre. The branches have been cut from a Sue Wilson die.

Ally is giving away this gorgeous paper pad to the lucky winner of this challenge:

That's all from me today.

I am going to take a break for the lead up to Christmas, so I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and wish you all a healthy and happy New Year.

Thank you for popping in.

New Challenge At Creative Inspirations

 Good morning everyone,

I hope you have had a good week.

Today we have our final challenge of 2021 beginning at Creative Inspirations and the theme is.......

Christmas Time

I recently went to a wonderful craft fair and bought this Whimsy stamp which I think is adorable. The name of the stamp is Polar Bear's Christmas Tree. As always I coloured the image with distress reinkers.

The falling snow is shabby chic frantage which is sprinkled around the image and heat set from underneath. For the lying snow I have used some faux snow by Crafters Companion.

The sledge has been cut from a Joy Crafts die which I have covered with twinklets. I have also sprinkled twinklets onto the flowers to give them a lovely frosty look and added a couple of faux snowballs. Just peeping out from the flowers are two tags from LOTV which have been stamped and embossed with silver emobssing powder.

The card stand has been cut from a Joy Crafts die.

For the insert which slides out of the top of the card I stamped up a Polkadoodles sentiment, and once again used some silver embossing powder. The two tabs at the top were cut from a Tonic die.

This month Crafty Ribbons are sponsoring us. You will receive the lovely selection of ribbons below from them.

That's all from me today, thank you for popping in.

Enjoy the rest of your week.

Happy Crafting:)

 Hi everyone,

We have a new  'Anything Goes' challenge beginning at Ally's Angels this evening.

I have coloured up another of the new LOTV stamps called Christmouse Bauble. I think it is so cute and was a real delight to colour up.

I have painted the image with distress reinkers and sprinkled some shabby white frantage around the outside. I have also used some glamour dust on the bauble.

The papers are by Maja.

DI list:

Mouse: Hickory Smoke, Black Soot, Worn Lipstick, Stormy Sky

Bauble: Stormy Sky, Faded Jeans, Black Soot

The poinsettias were cut from a John Next Door die in coordinating papers. I added some twinkets to the leaves for some sparkle and placed some silver stamens in the centre. The silver twigs were also cut from a John Next Door die. To finish it off I added some white die cut branches, silver berries and two silver jingle bells as well as a blue organza ribbon bow.

Ally is offering the prize below to the lucky winner

New Challenge At Creative Inspirations

Good morning everyone,

I hope you are all keeping well.

We have a new challenge beginning at  Creative Inspirations this morning and our theme for this month is ............

Wonderful Winter/Feeling Festive

Our challenges are now changing back to monthly.

All Dressed Up Stamps are very kindly sponsoring us this month and we have been given a wonderful stamp to play with. This gorgeous stamp is called Christmas Skate and I just loved colouring her up. As always I have coloured her with distress reinkers and sprinkled some shabby white frantage around the outside of the image. I have added some glossy accents for the ice.

I made a criss cross card for this challenge and used up some papers I have had in my stash for a while.  I have added some snowflakes (John Next Door), gathered lace, pearl string and trim, white organza ribbon and a couple of ice skates charms, which seem to have gone a bit skew whiff in the photo.

For the flowers I have added some paper roses which have been sprinkled with twinklets to give them some extra sparkle. I have also added some twinklets to the snowflakes. There is also a pine cone, some berries and stamens and to finish off a couple of die cut branches (Sue Wilson).

The sentiment pulls out from the top of the card. I have embossed the sentiment with silver embossing powder and added two book marker tabs (Tonic) to to the top, tied some silver twine and added a couple of grey pearl gems.

The card stand has been cut from a  Joy Crafts die.

As mentioned above All Dressed Up are sponsoring us this month and the lucky winner will win two images of their choice.

That's all from me today.

Stay safe and well.

Thank you for popping in.

Hugs
