Ballgown Ella

Hi everyone,

Hope you have all had a good week, and if you are in the U.K., I hope you are tucked up nice and warm in your craft room away from the icy winds. It has been a busy week for me, we are currently looking after Kyra whilst George has taken his girlfriend away for a mini break to Venice, on top of that our new bedroom furniture arrived yesterday, which needs assembling and with an 8 month puppy around, it is proving rather tricky. I don't think I will get much crafting done this weekend.

Away enough waffling, this morning, I am sharing my GDT card for the Paper Nest Dolls. This beautiful image can found here.

I coloured her using copics and prisma pencils and she was an absolute joy to colour. Peeking out from the top left is a Noor Design  Sending Love Heart, which has been cut twice and placed on top of each other, you may have noticed, but I'm quite into this affect at the moment and you can just make out the wings on top of the heart, which has been covered with pink frantage. Peeping out from the right is another of the Sending Love Heart die. Around the image is some pink pearls and I've hung a couple of strings at the bottom of the card.

Underneath the flowers are a couple of branch dies, also by Noor, but not currently in Tracy's shop although she will be able to get the die for you, if you wish. The tag on the base of the card is also a Noor Design die. The ribbon and lace are from the Ribbon Girl

Copics list:
Skin: E11, 21, 00, 000, 0000, R21
Hair: E44, 42, 40, W00
Dress/Hairband: C6, 5, 3, 1, 0, 00

Pencils: 70% Cool Grey, Dark Brown, Burnt Ochre, Black.

Take care.

I Give You my Heart Tilda

Hi everyone,

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Well it's back to work for me today, but there are only 3 weeks left before it is half term yay. Once again I have been a bad blogger this week, I am still trying to get to grips with colouring with DI's, but alas it has not been happening again and I've put a fair few attempts in the bin, so I haven't got anything made, I am determined to crack it, but it's starting to become a little frustrating.

Anyway onward and upwards. We have a new challenge at Marvelous Magnolia today and our theme is 'Love'.

Well I couldn't resist using one of the new Tilda's, I have only bought a couple this time, this one and one other that I felt I could use all year round. She is called 'I give you my heart Tilda'. I don't think I did too badly with this attempt at colouring so I kept her.

Just peeping out of the right hand side is the beautiful Noor Design Love Heart and Heart with Wings die, cut twice, once in red card and once using the papers and it's been painted with Dutch Doobadoo Structure paste along the edges. The tag is also a Noor Design die. On the left hand side is a cute heart from the Dutch Doobadoo Art Paper set. The flowers are from my stash, but the pins, lace, twine and ribbon are from the Ribbon Girl.

DI's list:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose,
Hair Walnut Stain, Antique Line,
Clothes: Pumice Stone
Heart: Fired Brick

Our sponsor this time is the Ribbon Girl and you could win

to spend in their gorgeous online shop.

Well that's it from me, hopefully I will have a more successful week with my colouring and be able to post something else.

Thank you for popping in.

Take care.

Winter Sports Easel Card

Hi everyone,

I hope you all had a lovely weeknd. Sorry, but I have been MIA again this week, but I will explain more this afternoon.

I'm just popping in this morning to share my inspirational card for the Noor Design blog. I coloured up Ice Tilda as I thought she fitted the winter theme perfectly.

I've cut an ice skate shape in corrugated card using the Dutch Doobadoo Ice Skate stencil and painted the Dutch Doobadoo Structure Paste around the edges. Tilda has been coloured, cut out and sat on the beautiful 8 point die which I cut twice, once in pink card and once in white. The white card is slightly offset. The edges of the papers have also been painted with Dutch Doobadoo Structure paste.

Here I have used a snowflake from the Dutch Doobadoo Paper Art Snowflake set which I have covered with pink frantage.

The Ice skater is from the Dutch Doobadoo Paper Art Ice Skaters set and just below the flowers are a pair of gloves from the Dutch Doobadoo Cardboard Art set, both have been covered with pink frantage and the gloves have had a few pearls added to them. You can't see it too well in the photo, but on the base of the card is a hat from the same set.

Here is another of the Ice Skaters from the Dutch Doobadoo Ice Skaters set, again covered with pink frantage. The Art paper sets are so versatile, you can leave them as they are, add glitter, colour them with pens or inks, and as I have done use frantage.

On the base of the card I've used a Noor Design tag die no. 2. and just above it is the Noor Design Winter Wishes Text die.

The products that I have used are available from the Noor Design UK shop, but links to the individual materials are at the bottom of this post, just click on a picture to be taken directly to the product.

Thank you for popping in and for the lovely comments you leave me.

Our beloved Sadie - MDF Mini Album Picture Frame

Good morning everyone,

Brrr, it's a bit chilly this week, but I quite like the cold weather, there is nothing better than being nice and cosy in your craft room, it's just a shame I'm at work lol.

I am popping in to share this weeks creation for the Noor Design UK blog.

This time I have used the MDF Mini Album Picture Frame.

I painted the frame with gesso and sprinkled white frantage over it. I thought this would make a perfect mini album/memory book of our beloved  dog Sadie, who was a big part of our family for 14 years and who is missed dearly, as she is no longer with us.

I painted the frame with gesso and covered it with white frantage. I have tied the four frames together using white seam binding. I thought this was a perfect opportunity to use the Noor Design film strip die. As it is a winter photo, I sprinkled some twinklets onto the rose, painted  couple of fir cones with gesso and added a couple of the thick branch leaves.

This is frame no. 2, which I decided could be used a journal or a smaller photo could be placed here. I have added a few of the Noor Design dies, film strip, ice crystal edge and a border die, which I can't see in Tracy's shop, but she will be able to get it for you if you contact her through the shop. In the centre I have stamped a grunge frame and applied some Dutch Doobadoo structure paste around the edges.

In frame 3, I have put another photo of Sadie and edged the paper with white cotton lace. The corners are from the frame and 3 corners die set.

The last frame I have decorated again, but this time as well as the film strip die,  I have added the sending love heart and heart with wings die and as it is a winter scene I thought it  would be fun to add a snowman from the Dutch Doobadoo paper art snowman set.

The links to the products I have used are at the bottom of this page, just click on a picture to be taken directly to the product.

The lace and seam binding ribbon are from the Ribbon Girl.

I hope you like it.

Take care and thank you for popping in.

Summer Wedding Tilda

Hi everyone,

I hope you are having a great Sunday.

I'm back to share my DT card for  Lovely Hanglar or Sweet Magnolia . Our challenge this time is 'Spots or Stripes'.

I have colourd up Summer Wedding Tilda, this time using Copics and a few highlights have been added using Prima pencils. I have sprinkled some some pink frantage around the outside of the image. The papers are by Maja. I have mounted the image onto a Noor Design Frame and Three Corners die and painted on some Noor Structure Paste around the edges. I've tucked some cheese cloth under the image and peeking out from the top is a gorgeous Noor Design sending love heart and heart with wings die, I love this die and will be using it a fair bit in the future, again I have painted some Noor Design structure paste along the edges. The lace and ribbon are from the Ribbon Girl and the flowers are from my stash. Links to the materials I have used are at the bottom of this post, just click on a picture to be taken directly to the product.
