Some Exciting News and a Brand New Challenge

Hi everyone,

I have some exciting news news to share and that is I was asked by Morgan from Broken Fairy Designs  to join her design team, well it didn't take me long to say yes, I am thrilled to be part of this new venture with her!!

Here is a little bit about Morgan:

Morgan McKinney is the owner and artist behind Broken Fairy stamps designs.  She is a wife and a mother of twin five year old girls. She has a never ending love of art and crafts and is an antique junkie. She is an avid fan of anything to do with outdoors especially hiking and loves animals, her cat, daughters, and 2 goldfish are proof of that, and she loves any chance she gets to bake. Her family is everything to her. She is starting on a new venture and has recently opened her own online shop.

This is a brand new DT and challenge blog which I am very excited about joining. I would like to say a big thank you to Morgan for inviting me to join this amazing team.

To celebrate Morgan is offering Tying Ballet Slippers for $1.00 using coupon code BFDChall1 for two days only.

There will be a bi-weekly challenge on on the Broken Fairy Challenge Blog, and there is one running right now, so pop on over for a chance to win a gorgeous prize. You can use any image you like, but if you use a Broken Fairy Designs image you will get an extra entry.

As well as that we will be running a monthly challenge on our FB page here.

I didn't have enough time to join in with the challenge blog this time, but this is the card I made for the FB challenge which is Anything Goes with a twist Add Some Flowers. I have coloured up the gorgeous Roses for the Ballerina using DI reinkers.

The shape has been cut using a Crealies stitched circle die.

The papers are from the new Maja Vintage Romance collection which are lush. I have used Passion and I have distressed them around the edges using a Tim Holtz paper distresser.  Tucked underneath the first circle are a paper doily and a Joy die (Circle 2).

Underneath the flowers is a Magnolia Doohickey swirl which I've cut using white card. The lace is from the Ribbon Girls and the flowers are from my stash

Where possible I have listed the links to the materials I have used at the bottom of this post, just click on a picture to be taken directly to the product.

DI list:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick
Hair: Walnut Stain, Antique Linen
Dress and Shoes: Aged Mahogany, Spun Sugar
Flowers: Aged Mahogany, Barn Door, Forest Moss, Shabby Shutters

Come and join us there are some amazing prizes:

Winner will receive:
3 digital images, their choice and winners badge

Top 3 will receive:
1 digital image, your choice and top 3 badge.

And
A Guest Designer will be chosen for an upcoming challenge.

Well that's it from me today.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday and thank you for popping in.

Hugs
Gina xx
