New Challenge Lovely Hanglar or Sweet Magnolia - Jeans Tilda

Hi everyone,

I hope you are all enjoying your weekend and making the most of the extended one if you are in the U.K. Today I am celebrating my birthday, I've stopped counting by age and say you are as young as you feel๐Ÿ˜Š, we are having a family get together which I am so looking forward to, I can't wait to see my boys.

We have a new challenge at Lovely Hanglar or Sweet Magnolia and we would love to see creations that are for a special date for example anniversary, birthday wedding, christening etc.

I really didn't have much time this week what with Ofsted at school, I was so tired so it had to be a quick make.

I have coloured up one of the new Maggies from the Summer, Nautical and Denim collection called Jeans Tilda.

I didn't go for blue denim, but opted for a combination of colours, more details are under the pic.

I stamped her onto Artistico extra white watercolour paper and cut the shape using Spellbinders die.

The papers are by Lemoncraft called Heart Painted.

The die peeping out of the top is a Joy die called Lattice Border.

The straws are from my stash and the flags have been made by cutting a banner die which I think is a Whimsy die in coordinating papers.

The butterflies have been cut twice (another Joy die) and mounted on top of each and I've added  some pearl trim down the centre.

The ribbon and pearl trim are from the Ribbon Girl.

The 'Happy Birthday' banner is from a Whimsy set of sentiment stamps.

Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick
Hair: Walnut Stain, Antique Linen

Midway Reminder Card - The Paradise of Stamps - Wedding Couple

Hi everyone,

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.

This morning I am sharing a card for the current current challenge at  Paradise of Stamps which is 'For Someone Special'.

I have colourd up an old LOTV stamp called 'Wedding Couple' using DI reinkers.

The shape of the card has been created with a large heart die (sorry I can't remember which make it is). I have cut the smallest heart twice, once in a light grey paper and the second layer in lace, placing the lace over the top of the same size heart, you can just about make it out in the photo.

The banner has been cut from a Joy die, which is a set of two, for this card I have used the large die and stamped the sentiment from the coordinating text stamp set which has been embossed with silver embossing powder.

The heart die on the right hand has been cut from a Marianne die and I've placed a silver heart charm in the centre.

The horseshoe is a Britannia die and I've added a few pearl hearts.

Along the bottom of the card is some rose organza ribbon and I've added some pearl gems in the centre of each rose.

The beautiful white organza ribbon and pink rose are from the Ribbon Girl.

On the base I have added another heart and tucked a Magnolia Doohickey swirl die cut underneath finishing off with another bow.

DI list:
Bride:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, worn Lipstick
Dress: Hickory Smoke (Glamour Dust Glitter)
Flowers: Spun Sugar, Aged Mahogany, Forest Moss, Shabby Shutters
Groom:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick
Hair: Antique Linen, Walnut Stain
Top Hat, Jacket: Hickory Smoke, Black Soot

That's it from me today.
