Hi everyone,
This morning I am popping in to share a male card (now you don't see this very often from me) I like many other crafts find male cards difficult to make.
I have coloured up another of the gorgeous Dreamerland Craft stamps and this one is called 'Let the Journey Begin'.
I stamped the image onto Artistico water colour paper with Stazon Timber Brown ink, coloured the image with distress reinkers and sprinkled some frantage around the outside of the image using my heat gun to set it. I have also added some glossy accents to the goggles, but it doesn't show up in the photo.
The papers are from Anna Marie designs called Blissful Cocoa. I have distressed the edges of the paper with a Walnut Stain distress ink pad.
The image is sat on some corrugated card and sitting underneath that is a barbed wire die cut.
The keys on the corner of the image are cut from a Lea'bilites die called Car Keys.
Tucked underneath the image is a banner die which has been cut in the co-ordinating papers and cut in half to produce two.
The hessian ribbon and rope twine are from my stash.
Below is the inside of the card.
I have cut some Noor Design stars edge die and a Dynamics banner die. Sorry but I can't remember the name of the tags die. The antique handle has been cut from a Sizzix die.
The card is held closed by magnets.

This is a fabulous, masculine card Gina. I know what you mean about them being difficult to make but this is gorgeous. I love the fold and all the lovely textures you have included in the design. Your colouring of the stamped image is perfect too, in fact I bought this exact one at Ally Pally last month but haven't inked it up yet. Thanks for the inspiration when I do use it.
