Sneaky Tilda

Good afternoon everyone,

I hope you are all well and enjoying your weekend. The sun is shining and the temperature is balmy for this time of year. I am so happy, we had some good news yesterday, at the moment George has been stood down from flying out to Sierra Leone tonight and we are keeping our fingers crossed that it doesn't change again. Phew I am so relieved.

Anyway on to the matter in hand, we have a new challenge at LHOSM today, and this time the challenge is 'Just for the Girls'.

I've coloured up the beautiful Sneaky Tilda with Copics and Prisma pencils (apologies, I have coloured her several times this year, but I totally adore her). The papers are by Maja, but I forgot to make a note of the names (sorry). At the top of the card I've placed a  Marianne corner die cut. I used a Martha Stewart punch to create the hearts border. The swirl is a Magnolia die and the little hearts underneath the gorgeous vintage cameo are also a Marianne die. I've also added some Star Dust Stickles to her dress. The beautiful lace, pearl string, cameo and beaded Ivory gypsophalia are from the Ribbon Girl.

Tilda with Lantern

Hello everyone,

I hope you are all having a good week. It has been quite an emotional week for me, we learnt  on Monday that George my youngest son is being posted to Sierra Leone where they have the Ebola disease for three months, first of all he was leaving on Thursday, then it was moved to Wednesday and at 4.20 p.m. on Wednesday he was been told it will probably be Sunday or Monday, talk about playing with your emotions! It was totally unexpected, and a real shock.

Anyway on to matters in hand, today we have a new challenge at Marvelous Magnolia and the challenge this time the challenge  is 'Layered Up'.

I have coloured up Tilda with Lantern, she is quite an oldie and my favourite Christmas background stamp Old Swedish Church, I searched high and low, but couldn't find either of them for sale in the U.K. I coloured it up with Copics and added a few highlights with Prisma pencils. The scene has been stamped onto a Spellbinders die and I added some Pom Pom Trim from the Ribbon Girl around the outside. The papers are called Frosty Blanket by Heartfelt Creations. Tucked behind the image which unfortunately you can't see very well, is a Christmas Joy Crafts clear postcard stamp, and at the top is a Tim Holtz Distressed Doily die, both of which I have sprinkled with  Blue Frantage. The star banner is a Marianne die. For the falling snow I have sprinkled White Frantage and for lying snow I have used Glamour Dust.  The lace and flowers are also from Ribbon Girl. Links to the materials are at the bottom of this post, just click on a picture to be taken directly to the product.

Saturated Canary - Neveah

Good morning my lovelies,

I hope you are having a lovely weekend and maybe enjoying some crafty time. I apologise for being such a bad blogger this week, but I have been catching up with my crafting and yay I'm almost there.

We are back from our summer break and today we have a new colour challenge at the Ribbon Girl and we would like to see Pastel colours in your creations.

I opted to colour an oldie Saturated Canary stamp called Neveah. I must admit I do find colouring soft colours more difficult to show the depth of the pleats. I have coloured her with Copics and Prisma pencils and stamped her onto a Spellbinders Majestic elements die cut. The papers are a mixture of LOTV and Pion. Tucked behind the image is some cheese cloth. The bow die is by Magnolia and the heart banner is a LaLa Land crafts die which I have added some pearl string to. Below the bow die is a sparkly crystal flourish. All the beautiful embellishments are available at the Ribbon Girl, links to the products are at the bottom of this post, just click on a picture to take you directly to the product.
