Hello everyone,
I hope you are all having a good week. It has been quite an emotional week for me, we learnt on Monday that George my youngest son is being posted to Sierra Leone where they have the Ebola disease for three months, first of all he was leaving on Thursday, then it was moved to Wednesday and at 4.20 p.m. on Wednesday he was been told it will probably be Sunday or Monday, talk about playing with your emotions! It was totally unexpected, and a real shock.
Anyway on to matters in hand, today we have a new challenge at Marvelous Magnolia and the challenge this time the challenge is 'Layered Up'.
I have coloured up Tilda with Lantern, she is quite an oldie and my favourite Christmas background stamp Old Swedish Church, I searched high and low, but couldn't find either of them for sale in the U.K. I coloured it up with Copics and added a few highlights with Prisma pencils. The scene has been stamped onto a Spellbinders die and I added some Pom Pom Trim from the Ribbon Girl around the outside. The papers are called Frosty Blanket by Heartfelt Creations. Tucked behind the image which unfortunately you can't see very well, is a Christmas Joy Crafts clear postcard stamp, and at the top is a Tim Holtz Distressed Doily die, both of which I have sprinkled with Blue Frantage. The star banner is a Marianne die. For the falling snow I have sprinkled White Frantage and for lying snow I have used Glamour Dust. The lace and flowers are also from Ribbon Girl. Links to the materials are at the bottom of this post, just click on a picture to be taken directly to the product.
