Besties GDT - New challenge

Hi everyone,

I hope you had a wonderful weekend and you're week is off to a good start.

I am just popping in quickly to share my Besties GDT card, I am a bit late so this is just a quick post.

The theme of the challenge is 'to make something with blue designer patterned paper' and of course it must include a Bestie image.

I have coloured up this beauty and she can be found here.

She has been coloured using a mixture of DI markers and reinkers. The paper is by Maja, I just love the softness of it. Peeping out at the top is a Noor Design Stars Edge Die and underneath that are two Noor Design 8 point dies. Tucked underneath the flowers is a film strip die also by Noor Design. The lace, flowers and ribbon are from my stash.

Tilda with Pocket - New Challenge LHOSM

Good afternoon and happy Sunday to you!

I hope you are enjoying your weekend and hopefully are able to have some crafty time.

We have a new challenge at Lovely Hanglar or Sweet Magnolia today and our theme this time is 'Spring colours'.

I used the view from my craft room window for inspiration. The blue, was the colour of the sky, the deep pink was the blossom on the apple tree and the purple was the Aubretia that is currently out in bloom and cascading over a wall.

I have masked Tilda with Pocket with Stone Path and coloured her using a mixture of Distress Inks and markers and I've painted Dutch Doobadoo Structure Paste around the edges of the image. The papers are from a LOTV pad, Antebellum. The flowers, ribbon, lace and beautiful pearl and diamante embellishment in the centre of the bow are from the Ribbon Girl. Tucked underneath the flowers is a Noor Design Swirl Leaf die and the butterflies are part of a stamp set that are also from Noor Design.

DI colour list:
Skin: Vintage photo, Tattered Rose
Hair: Walnut Stain, Antique Linen
Clothes: Broken China, Tumbled Glass
Shoes Pumice Stone,

Flowers: Aged Mahogany, Spun Sugar, Dusty Concord

Insta Tilda

Good morning everyone,

I hope you have a had a good week and it's almost the weekend so what could be better! It has been a pretty busy week so I am looking forward to a bit of rest and relaxation this weekend. Well I hear the beautiful spring weather is leaving us now and rain is on the way, but I'm not complaining too much as would you believe it the garden needs it, the lawn was  beautiful a couple of weeks ago, but now there are already dead patches forming.

Anyway enough rambling from me. I made this card for fun using Insta Tilda from the new collection. I also ordered the camera die to go with her, but annoyingly I am still waiting for it to arrive.

To create the shape I used a Go Kreate die. I used a mixture of DI markers and reinkers to colour Tilda. The papers are from the Romance paper pad by Joy crafts. The doily peeping out at the top and the butterflies are Sizzix dies and I painted Dutch Doobadoo Stucture paste around the edges of the butterflies and added some oval pearls to the centre. I made the butterflies using silicone moulds and air dry clay. The flowers, ribbon and lace are from my stash.

Distress Inks list:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose
Hair: Walnut Stain, Antique Linen
Top: Seedless Preserves
Trousers: Pumice Stone
Shoes: Gathered Twigs
Camera: Pumice Stone, Seedless Preserves

I have put the links to the materials used where possible at the bottom of this post, just click on a picture to be taken directly to the product.

That's it from me today, I will be back on Sunday.

I hope you have a lovely weekend.

Thank you for popping in.

Tilda with Flowing Hair - New challenge - Marvelous Magnolia

Good afternoon everyone,

I hope you all had a lovely weekend. Well my holiday is almost over, sadly I'm back to work tomorrow, I must say I've had a lovely two weeks and I was so lucky and the weather has been just glorious.

We have a new challenge at Marvelous Magnolia today and the theme is a lovely easy one 'Girly'.

I delved into my Magnolia stamp box and selected a couple of oldies which I have masked together,  Tilda with Flowing Hair and Shabby Chic fence and coloured them using a mixture of DI markers and reinkers. I wanted a nice soft colour palette for this one.

The shape of the card has been created using a Go Kreate die. Peeping out at the top left of the card is a Noor Design Oval die and to the left tucked under the image is the Sending Love Heart and Heart with Wings die.  The Dutch Doobadoo Structure paste jumped out of my drawer again lol so I had no choice but to edge the image and butterflies and just added a few dots here and there on the flowers. The butterflies and fence are also a Noor Design dies. The lace, heart button, which I've painted with white gesso,  pearl string and flowers are from the Ribbon Girl.  I made the key and swirl using Martha Stewart moulds and Air Dry clay.

Our wonderful sponsors for this challenge are the Ribbon Girl. The lucky winner will win:

to spend in their beautiful shop.

Well that's it from me today.

Thank you so much for popping in and for the lovely comments you leave me, they really are appreciated.

Whimsy 'Peggy' - New colour challenge at the Ribbon Girl

Good morning everyone,

I hope you are having a lovely weekend. We are having a fairly lazy one and just enjoying the sunshine.

This morning we have a new colour challenge a the Ribbon Girl. The challenge this time is to use a colour from your National flag. I was going to use blue, but I got carried away and ended up using all three colours lol.

Little Peggy jumped onto my acrylic block again. She has been coloured with DI reinkers and markers. Once again the I have edged the topper with the Duch Doobadoo Sructure paste. The papers are by Maja. Peeping out at the top is a Noor Design Circle Die No. 2 and tucked underneath the image is a Memory Box La Rue Heart.

The lace is one of my favourites 'Phoebe' Guipure lace and I've placed some teeny tiny pom pom trim along the top. For a finishing touch I've added some oval pearl string.

The beautiful ribbon is White Fluted Edge Sheer which has  a gorgeous sheen to it. In the centre I've attached a beautiful Starburst Diamante embellishment.

All the flowers are from the Ribbon GirlTucked underneath them is a Memory Box die, loopy rings.  I just adore the pretty lace butterfly. Along the centre of it's body, I've glued some crystals and I've done the same with daisy, I removed the centre and replaced it with the crystals.

The lucky randomly selected winner of this challenge will win:
