Hi everyone,

Only four days left until the big day, I can't wait!! So school breaks up today, it has been a very long and busy term so I am looking forward to a restful Christmas break. We are away for Christmas this year, spending time with my youngest son and on to visit my parents on Boxing day followed by a visit to my eldest son the following day, I am so looking forward to seeing them all.

The papers are from Lil Miss sugar Pops Kit 1 & 2, there are some really beautiful colours in this kit.

The sentiment is from Winnie Celebration Kit one.

The flowers are from my stash.

The lace and organza ribbon are from the Ribbon Girl, don't forget there is a closing down sale with 50% off across the store.

DI list:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick
Hair: Hickory Smoke, Seedless Preserves

New Challenge at Creative Inspirations

Hi everyone,

I hope you are all well. My trip to the NEC was quite a disappointment., there didn't seem to be that many craft stalls, certainly compared to what it was like a few years ago.

Anyway today we begin a new challenge at Creative Inspirations and the theme is......

November Chill
This month we want to see creations with a chilly theme. Whether it is creating creations with a wintry theme, snow sports, hats and scarves or a cool colour theme, the choice is yours.

I have coloured up one of the new Christmas stamps from Dreamerland Crafts called 'When I have You Around Me' and used one of their new sentiments stamps along the top and bottom of the image. I have used DI reinkers to colour the scene. I think they both look cosy in red and green.

The papers are from The Hobby House.

The lace, ribbon, pearl string, diamante embellishment, fir cones, and most of the flowers and leaves are from the Ribbon Girl.

The snowflake is a Marianne die. I covered the snowflake in glue and sprinkled on some Twinklets which gives a lovely icy effect.

Some Exciting News

Hi  everyone,

I hope your week is off to a good start.

I am thrilled to say that I am now a DT member of Ally's Angels - thank you Ally for inviting me to join this amazing and talented team.

The theme for the next 4 weeks is.....
Use a Tag
It doesn't have to be a tag on it's own, it can be part of a card or any other creation.

I made a fairly simple tag.  The cute image is by Polkadoodles. This little cutie is called 'Wrapped Up Warm' from the Winnie White Christmas collection. I have coloured her with DI reinkers. The papers are also from the Winnie White Christmas collection from the Papers 4 collection.

I used some modelling paste with a snowflake stencil to create the snowflakes in the background, added a die cut wreath and popped Winnie onto some foam pads before placing her onto the tag and added some pom pom trim,  flowers and pearl trim just for fun.

I also made a card to go with the tag, again using elements from the Winnie White Christmas collection.

DI list:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick
Hair: Antique Linen, Walnut Stain, Black Soot
Coat, Dress: Weathered Wood,
Scarf and Boots: Hickory Smoke, Weathered Wood
Tights: Hickory Smoke, Weathered Wood

The pom pom trim, pine cones, jingle bells, pearl trim, lace and silver flake web ribbon are from the Ribbon Girl.

Ally is offering a fabulous stamp set  from  Sizzix to the lucky winner.

That's all from me today.

Thank you for popping in.

Take care.

New Challenge at Polkadoodles Crafting - All About the Papers

Hi everyone,

I hope you have had a good week. I have had a lovely week off. Phil has been home too and as well as getting some chores done, we'eve been away and spent some time with our youngest son.

Today begins a brand new challenge at Polkadoodles Crafting. The challenge is 'Anything Goes' for all you lovely crafters, but the team were tasked with a theme of  'Focus on Papers'. I scratched my head with this one and decided to make an album. So apologies in advance, but this post is quite picture heavy.

Everything I have used to make the album is from the Winnie White Christmas Big Kahuna kit, however, you can buy the image on the front cover either pre-coloured or as a black and white image if you didn't want to buy the whole collection.

For the front cover I printed papers from the papers 3 and 4 collections. The image is called 'Delivering Gifts by Sledge' which I have coloured with DI reinkers. I've added some lace and pearl trim from the Ribbon Girl. The word 'festive' has been printed from the 'wordart' section.

Page 2: Consists of a mini card, and I've printed out a sentiment from the sentiments section and added some pearl string and lace.

Page 3: For this page, I've printed off papers from papers 2 and 3. Made a pocket and placed a coupe of tags in it.

Page 4: Consists of papers from papers 1 and 3. Winnie is a pre-coloured image from the pre-coloured images section.

Page 5: Again they are papers from collection 1 and 2. The cute little penguin has been printed from the pre-coloued images. I've also added a bow and a couple of frosted berries,

Page 6: the papers are from the papers 3 and 4 collection. I've made a couple of pockets and added some plain tags and I've made a couple of the Christmas toppers into tags. I've added some lace and another adorable penguin from the pre-coloured images.

Page 7:  I've printed off another pre-coloured image and used papers from collection 2 and 4. The snowflake has printed from Christmas Embellishments set. Although the silver twine is from my own stash, Mary has some gorgeous stock in the Ribbon Girl shop.

For my final page I've printed off papers from set 1 and 2. the candy canes are from the Christmas Embellishments set.

Phew, well that was a long post.

Thank you for popping in.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Hugs
Gina xx
